  • Patent number: 5682672
Abstract: A cable arrangement indicating and inspecting apparatus for a connector is disclosed. Cables are removed from cable receiving portions (1) in accordance with indicator LEDs (2) caused to blink by a first driving portion (23), and light from illuminative LEDs (28) turned on by a second driving portion (35) is directed through light emitting optical fibers (29) and detecting optical fibers (14) into receiving holes of a connector to directly illuminate the interior of select receiving holes into which terminals are to be inserted. When the terminals are inserted into the select receiving holes, the light reflected from the terminals is directed through the detecting optical fibers (14) and light receiving optical fibers (31) onto light receiving portions (30), and proper terminal insertion is detected on the basis of a light reception signal from the light receiving portions (30).

  • Patent number: 5623199
Abstract: An inspecting device body (1) including an input terminal group (23), an output terminal group (24), a connection terminal group (25), a signal output portion (38), a signal input portion (39), first and second memory portions (40, 41), a comparing and determining portion (42), a lighting and flashing drive portion (44), and a control portion (48) is electrically connected to a work table (2) including an input connector (4), an output connector (5), LEDs (6), an earth plate (7) by one flexible printed wiring board (9), thereby reducing the rejection rate of wiring harnesses at assembly on an assembly line, allowing the final inspection of the wiring harnesses for acceptance or rejection, and improving assembly efficiency.

  • Patent number: 5619021
Abstract: A pressing operation while an operation lever is tilted is inhibited by causing an enlarged portion of the operation lever to butt against a stopper. A tilting operation while an operation lever is pressed is inhibited by causing the enlarged portion to butt against the stopper. Therefore, the two operations can not be concurrently performed so that a set switch and a select switch are inhibited from being simultaneously turned on. Furthermore, the operation lever is supported in a tiltable manner by forming support shafts and rotation shafts whose axes perpendicularly intersect each other. Even when foreign substances are trapped in rotation portions of the support shafts and the rotation shafts, therefore, there is little fear that the foreign substances will remain trapped between the mating or contacting portions, thereby ensuring that the operation lever can be tilted smoothly and returned to the neutral position.

  • Patent number: 5308696
Abstract: A method for preparing a carbon fiber-reinforced cement material is here disclosed which comprises the step of using, as a reinforcing material, a carbon fiber from which a gas has been removed by replacing the gas captured in the fiber with water. This method permits providing the carbon fiber-reinforced cement material having a large reinforcing effect by the fiber.

  • Patent number: 5032340
Abstract: In a curtain wall of metal-stud-frame type in which a metal frame is attached to the back surface of a concrete panel through a flexible anchor, a self-supporting type solid, knitted goods formed by knitting fibers in three dimensional directions with a pitch between each fabric exceeding 5 mm is buried in the skin of said concrete panel and the forward end of said flexible anchor is held in the space of cell of said solid, knitted goods. The curtain wall has a high bending strength and is easily manufactured and, therefore, suitable for use in external materials of buildings.

  • Patent number: 5010705
Abstract: A curtain wall building panel having a metal frame secured to the reverse side of a concrete panel with flexible anchors. A 3-D braid is formed in such a manner that non-metallic fibers are braided in the three directions at a pitch of 5 mm or more and have a self-supporting characteristic. The braid is embedded in the concrete panel and the front ends of the flexible anchors are secured to cell spaces in the 3-D braid. The curtain wall exhibits excellent bending strength, can be easily manufactured and can be used for exterior finish of multistory buildings. A method of making the building panel is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4941608
Abstract: A hot water supplying system is adapted to be connected to hot and cold water sources to mix the hot and cold water for discharging the mixed water. The system comprises a mixing chamber having a mixing valve movable therein to vary the mixing ratio of the hot water to the cold water, and a controller at which an intended water temperature is selected in accordance with a temperature scale provided thereat. The controller is operatively connected to the mixing valve so as to move the same into a proper position of discharging the water at the selected temperature. The mixing valve is given a temperature-responsive characteristic to be capable of self-adjusting its position independently of the controller in such a way as to adjust the water temperature in an open loop control manner at the start of discharging the water. An initial compensation mode is provided in the system to monitor the water temperature and determine a deviation between the monitored temperature and the selected temperature.
