  • Publication number: 20100125595
Abstract: An absolute path name and a command line of a process associated with a process operating on a business server are found from process information acquired from the business server. A standard process decision unit judges an OS standard process. An interpreter decision unit judges an interpreter name from the command line. A shared directory decision unit judges an executive file name located directly under a shared directory. A subdirectory decision unit judges a parent-child relation of an executive file directory from the absolute path name of the executable file. • Patent number: 7669209
Abstract: A method for rapidly executing a series of remote procedure calls between a client and a server, comprising an RPC optimizer (101) that inputs an IDL source code (103) and client source codes (102, 102?, . . . ) so as to define as a new remote procedure a group of remote procedures to be performed by the client in an additional server source code (107). In turn, the RPC optimizer outputs a new IDL source code (106) to which an interface of the remote procedure is added, and new client source codes (105, 105?, . . . ) modified so as to use the remote procedure. This reduces communications involving a plurality of remote procedures to a single communication pass, thereby implementing high-speed communication between the client and the server.

  • Publication number: 20090182866
Abstract: In order to change a policy while alarm-monitoring a production environment, during a production-environment operation, a method of controlling a computer system is provided, in which a policy is temporarily changed, thereby performing setting change. An agent transmits a monitoring result based on a first monitoring condition. A management unit generates a second monitoring condition based on a received change request. The agent transmits a monitoring result based on the second monitoring condition. The management unit holds information for correlating the first and second monitoring conditions with each other. Upon reception of a confirmation request for confirming the second monitoring condition, the management unit specifies the first monitoring condition correlated with the second monitoring condition based on the information. The agent which has received the deletion request stops the transmission of the monitoring result based on the first monitoring condition.

  • Publication number: 20070169167
Abstract: A technique of performing concurrency control of policies is provided, which makes it possible to efficiently utilize resources of an overall information system. According to the present invention, a policy execution device creates a list of components of a application system which are influenced by execution of an action of a policy instance, for respective policy instances. If trigger conditions of another policy instance are newly met during execution of a policy instance, the policy execution device compares a list of components of the policy instance presently being executed with a list of components of the policy instance whose trigger conditions are newly met. If there are no common components in the lists, the policy execution device executes the policy instance whose trigger conditions are newly met, and if there are common components in the lists, the policy execution device suspends the policy instance whose trigger conditions are newly met.

  • Publication number: 20050289272
Abstract: A policy verification method in an information processing system for verifying whether the policy rule operates correctly. The method verifies the policy in an information processing system including at least one component, using policies describing a series of system management operations to be performed when an event occurs, and automatically executing system management operations according to the policies when the event occurs. The method acquires configuration information on the component constituting the information processing system. The method acquires all the events that may occur in the information processing system from an event list stored in advance and the configuration information acquired, and generates them as a test item. The method executes the test item generated and verifying the propriety of the policy according to the result of the system management operations executed by the policy.
