  • Patent number: 5566428
Abstract: The invention provides a molded synthetic resin belt connecting device of the type including a belt attachment member and a fastening member rotatably connected together, wherein a headed pin formed integrally with a rotatable shaft of the belt attachment member and a socket formed integrally with the fastening member are assembled together to form a swivel joint such that a head portion of the headed pin is loosely received in a through-hole in the socket, and a neck portion of the headed pin which is smaller in diameter than the head portion is loosely received in a cutout groove at a junction between the cutout groove and the through-hole. The belt attachment member and the fastening member are molded of synthetic resin in an assembled condition by a single injection-molding run or cycle. The belt connecting device thus constructed is free from break at a joint portion between the belt attachment member and the fastening member and hence is highly durable in construction and labor-saving in assembly.

  • Patent number: 5537725
Abstract: A releasable catch for holding together they body of a bag and a flap of the bag includes a plug member attached to the flap and having a resiliently deformable locking tongue, and a socket member attached at its one end to the bag body and having a gate-shaped locked portion disposed adjacent the one end of the socket member for slidably receiving and thereafter locking the resiliently deformable locking tongue to couple the plug member and the socket member. The locking tongue is tilted toward a backward side of the plug member at a predetermined angle relative to a plane of an attachment portion. When the locking tongue of the plug member is locked into the socket member, the bent plug member tends to turn the socket member about the fixed one end toward the bag body, so that the other or loose end of the socket member is always held in contact with a front surface of the bag body regardless of the content of the bag.

  • Patent number: 4844783
Abstract: A method for the electrodeposition coating of workpieces conveyed in an electrodeposition bath, wherein voltage applying means is provided in a plurality of stages of not less than three in the conveying direction of the workpieces. Voltage is increased at the first stage, and the multiple stages voltage applying means is initiated after the workpieces reach a submersion area where the workpieces are completely submerged in the paint contained in the electrodeposition bath. Voltage application at the final stage of the voltage applying means is terminated before the workpieces exit from the submersion area. By this method, the thickness of the electrodeposition film can be made uniform so that there is no difference in film thickness between lower and higher workpieces or in the lower and upper parts of a workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4824538
Abstract: A method for the electrodeposition coating of workpieces conveyed in an electrodeposition bath, wherein voltage application means is provided in a plurality of stages in the conveying direction of the workpieces. In the method, the type of workpiece being conveyed is detected, and the length of time to apply voltage to the workpiece in the bath according to the type of workpiece by changing the number of stages to be electrically coupled among the plurality of stages of the voltage application means. By this method, it becomes possible to provide each workpiece with most suitable electrodeposition film thickness even in a line where workpieces having different required film thicknesses are present.

  • Patent number: 4576692
Abstract: A method for sequentially controlling the operation of a microwave-excited oxygen plasma surface treatment apparatus in order to improve and control the quality of surface treatment. The pressure within a reactor (10) is continuously monitored and measured and a first pressure signal is issued when the pressure is reduced to a predetermined first level, whereupon flow control valves (52, 54) are opened to allow oxygen gas to flow through microwave discharge tubes (34) into the reactor (10). A second pressure signal is issued when the pressure increases to a second pressure range and microwave power generators (20, 22) are energized to excite the oxygen flowing therethrough. The plasma density is continuously monitored and measured, preferably in terms of the luminous intensity of the plasma, the amount of reflected microwave power, or a combination thereof. The plasma surface treatment is terminated after a timed duration.
