  • Publication number: 20080223551
Abstract: In a manufacturing method of a fin unit for a heat sink for dissipating a heat from a heat source, the fin unit includes a plurality of fins radially arranged about its center axis, and a fin supporting portion connecting inner ends of the fins and supporting the fins. First, metal is heated. The heated metal is extruded and/or drawn through a die to obtain a metal body. One of the die and the metal body obtained through the die is rotated relative to the other about a center axis of a die hole of the die. The metal body is then cut, thereby obtaining the fin unit.

  • Patent number: 7389378
Abstract: A medium storage apparatus writes data for stream type commands on a medium, and improves the reliability of the write data while maintaining the execution time of the commands. The apparatus has a buffer for storing the write data of the write stream type commands, a controller for sequentially writing the data of the buffer to the medium by a head, and a processing unit for skipping the writing of erred sectors for continuing the processing which normally ends if an error occurs, and writing the data to the skipped sector after command execution. By this, the error is corrected such that the medium is correctly read in the next and later read processing, while maintaining the write time specified by the command.

  • Patent number: 7382559
Abstract: A medium storage device reads device specific information from a medium to a memory and performs read/write operation to the medium, which allows receiving commands from a host even if a read error of the device specific information occurs. When an error occurs during the device specific information read processing of the medium storage device after power ON, the alternate data stored in the medium is developed so as to recover the power ON error artificially. For this alternate data, the data at factory shipment is saved in a ROM or a system area of a medium in advance, and is developed from here when necessary. Since commands can be received and executed, a disabled startup of the host system can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20080120991
Abstract: A compressor has a discharge passage, an oil separation mechanism, an oil supply passage, and a valve mechanism. The oil supply passage supplies the separated lubrication oil into an oil recovery region. The valve mechanism is formed in the oil supply passage and includes a valve chamber, a spool and an urging member. The spool separates the valve chamber into a first pressure sensing chamber and a second pressure sensing chamber. The amount of the lubrication oil supplied to the oil recovery region is adjusted in such a manner that as the pressure differential between the first and the second pressure sensing chambers increases, the spool slides in the valve chamber and the opening degree of the oil supply passage increases to the maximum and then decreases, and that when the compressor is stopped, the opening degree of the oil supply passage is minimized by the urging force of the urging member.

  • Publication number: 20080104984
Abstract: The compressor has a differential pressure type flow rate detector that obtains the pressure in an upstream passage and the pressure in a downstream passage to detect a refrigerant flow rate within a refrigerant passage. The detector has an accommodation chamber, and a partition body slidably accommodated within the accommodation chamber. • Publication number: 20080060939
Abstract: To provide a malfunction diagnosing method and apparatus capable of reliably determining a malfunction even where the malfunction occurs in a common wire connecting a gas sensor and a control circuit for driving it. In a gas concentration measurement unit 1 having a sensor control circuit 50 which is connected to a sensor element 10 including an oxygen pump cell 14 and an oxygen concentration detection cell 24 and controls and drives this sensor element 10, a variation state of a terminal voltage at one connecting point (specifically, a Vs+ terminal) other than connecting points between electrodes facing a measurement chamber of each cell 14 and 24 and a common wire 24 is detected by a malfunction detection circuit 53 and an arithmetic processor 54. Based on this variation state of the terminal voltage, diagnosis of malfunction in the common wire 42 is executed. When the common wire 42 is broken, the terminal voltage at the Vs+ terminal varies with oscillations.

  • Publication number: 20070177991
Abstract: A muffler forming member defines a muffler chamber. Refrigerant discharged from a cylinder bore is sent to the muffler chamber. The muffler forming member is coupled to a circumferential surface of a housing of a compressor. An oil separation chamber is defined in a discharge pressure zone of the compressor. The oil separation chamber separates the oil from the refrigerant discharged from the cylinder bore. The oil separation chamber extends into both the muffler forming member and the housing. The oil separation chamber has a refrigerant inlet through which the refrigerant flows into the oil separation chamber. The refrigerant inlet is formed in the muffler forming member. Therefore, the oil separation chamber is prolonged in the direction from the muffler forming member toward the housing, thereby improving the oil separation performance.
