  • Publication number: 20050158182
Abstract: In a piston type compressor, a housing includes a cylinder block that forms plural cylinder bores and an accommodating hole at a center thereof. The valve port assembly connected to the cylinder block includes suction and discharge ports, suction and discharge valves made of flapper valves. An end portion of the drive shaft rotatably supported by the housing is slidably accommodated in the accommodating hole. The piston in each cylinder bore and the valve port assembly form a compression chamber. The cylinder block forms therein communication holes that connect each compression chamber to the end portion that forms therein a residual gas bypass passage. The residual gas bypass passage connects one communication hole, which communicates with the high-pressure side compression chamber that has finished discharge process of gas, to another communication hole, which communicates with the compression chamber that is lower in pressure than the high-pressure side compression chamber.

  • Patent number: 6874154
Abstract: The positional adjustment of an optical disk pickup has generally been performed, within a holding member for holding the end portion of a pickup guide shaft, by clamping the guide shaft between an elastic member and an adjusting screw, and by adjusting the advance amount of the adjusting screw with respect to the holding member. However, there has been a problem that a linear positional adjustment and a fine adjustment are made difficult by the unevenness and tilt of the surface of the adjusting screw which is in contact with the guide shaft.

  • Publication number: 20050008499
Abstract: A displacement control mechanism used in a variable displacement compressor for controlling a displacement of the compressor includes a first control valve located on a supply passage and a second control valve located on a first bleed passage. The second control valve includes a backpressure chamber having substantially the same pressure atmosphere as a region of the supply passage downstream of the first control valve and a spool including a back surface that is located in the backpressure chamber. The spool reduces an opening degree of the first bleed passage when a pressure in the backpressure chamber is increased. The spool blocks a communication between the backpressure chamber and the first bleed passage via a clearance formed around a cylindrical outer peripheral surface of the spool in the second control valve when the spool sets the first bleed passage at a minimum opening degree.

  • Publication number: 20040253118
Abstract: A piston type compressor includes a suction valve mechanism. The suction valve mechanism includes a rotary valve coupled to a rotary shaft. A valve timing adjusting apparatus is capable of changing a relative rotational phase, which is a rotational phase of the rotary valve relative to the rotary shaft. Therefore, the compressor is capable of adjusting the valve timing of the rotary valve and has a reduced size in the axial direction.

  • Publication number: 20040225710
Abstract: A medium storage apparatus writes data for stream type commands on a medium, and improves the reliability of the write data while maintaining the execution time of the commands. The apparatus has a buffer for storing the write data of the write stream type commands, a controller for sequentially writing the data of the buffer to the medium by a head, and a processing unit for skipping the writing of erred sectors for continuing the processing which normally ends if an error occurs, and writing the data to the skipped sector after command execution. By this, the error is corrected such that the medium is correctly read in the next and later read processing, while maintaining the write time specified by the command.

  • Publication number: 20040202551
Abstract: As a swash plate of a variable displacement compressor slides along a drive shaft, while being inclined, the displacement of the compressor is changed. A step is formed on the drive shaft between the swash plate and a cylinder block. The step has a seat surface, which functions as a spring seat. The seat surface faces the swash plate. A return spring is located between the spring seat and the swash plate to urge the swash plate in a direction increasing the inclination angle. The step is directly formed on the drive shaft. Therefore, the number of components and the number of steps required for manufacturing the compressor are reduced.

  • Publication number: 20040194209
Abstract: A rotary valve operationally connected to a rotary shaft is housed so as to be slidably rotatable in an accommodation hole formed in a cylinder block. A suction valve mechanism functions so as to introduce refrigerant gas in a suction chamber into a compression chamber. A gas suction passage leading from the suction chamber to the compression chamber can be opened and closed in synchronism with rotation of the rotary shaft. In an outer circumferential surface of the rotary valve is formed a groove constituting a part of a gas vent passage for introducing the refrigerant gas in a crank chamber into the compression chamber.

  • Publication number: 20040148947
Abstract: A vehicle air conditioning apparatus includes a refrigerant circulation circuit. The vehicle air conditioning apparatus has a variable displacement type compressor, a first pressure monitoring point, a second pressure monitoring point and an oil separator in the refrigerant circulation circuit. Also, the vehicle air conditioning apparatus has a control valve in the compressor. The compressor compresses refrigerant gas. Displacement of the compressor is variable. The refrigerant gas includes oil. The second pressure monitoring point is located more downstream than the first pressure monitoring point. The control valve controls the displacement based on differential pressure between the first and second pressure monitoring points. The oil separator is located between the first and second pressure monitoring points in order to separate the oil from the compressed refrigerant gas, thereby the oil separator serves as means for manifesting the differential pressure.

  • Publication number: 20040005224
Abstract: A piston type compressor includes a housing, a refrigerant gas passage and a rotary valve. The housing defines a suction pressure region. The refrigerant gas passage interconnects the suction pressure region with at least a compression chamber. The rotary valve includes a suction guiding hole which forms a part of the refrigerant gas passage. The suction guiding hole connects each compression chamber by turns with the suction pressure region as the rotary valve is rotated. The suction guiding hole communicates with a plurality of the compression chambers at least at early and last stages in a suction process. The suction guiding hole has a predetermined area per unit length in a rotational direction of the rotary valve. The predetermined area gradually increases from a preceding side of the rotation of the rotary valve to a middle and gradually decreases from the middle to a following side of the rotary valve.
