  • Patent number: 6178287
Abstract: A time lapse magnetic recording/reproduction apparatus for recording and reproducing picture signals while intermittently thinning them out in a frame unit is used for monitoring and burglar-proofing in plants, shops, banks, etc. Recording picture information is generated and added to one continuous picture signal obtained by sequentially switching the output of each video camera, and is then recorded. A speed multiple k for a normal tape travelling speed is optimally set by servo circuit on the basis of the recording picture information (the total number m of channels) detected from the reproduction picture signals reconstructed by double-azimuth four heads at the time of search reproduction, and a search reproduction picture throughout the full screen of a monitor television is obtained in full recording channels.

  • Patent number: 5251074
Abstract: During the playback operation for freezing and storing a specific frame of a picture in a memory and thereafter printing the frame, the recording medium is turned reversely for a prescribed amount according to an instruction from a printer in response to the entry of the freeze command in order to accurately search the frame at the entry of the freeze, and thereafter the recording medium is played back in normal mode. The amounts of reverse turn and the successive forward turn in normal playback are counted and compared, and when the difference has become a prescribed value, a freeze signal is produced and the frame of the picture selected by the freeze command is stored in the memory and printed when required. This control method for use in a video print system is designed so that the recording medium is turned reversely for a prescribed amount according to an instruction from the printer and then stopped until the next command is entered.

  • Patent number: 4924329
Abstract: The present invention relates to a magnetic recording and reproducing device wherein reproduction monitoring can be made directly after recording, and more particularly to a construction of a rotary drum for the same. The magnetic recording and reproducing device includes a single recording channel for n recording magnetic heads, and n reproducing channels for n reproducing magnetic heads. The recording channel is provided either on an innermost circumference side or on an outermost circumference side of a rotary transformer. Since the device has such a reduced number of recording channels, the distance between adjacent channels can be increased and the transmission loss of a reproduction signal can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 4825299
Abstract: A magnetic video recording/reproducing apparatus of high resolution, which excludes a phase difference introduced to a signal due to difference in characteristics between a low frequency conversion system and a high frequency conversion system by inserting an additonal signal to both systems. The additional signal is recorded together with the video signal and a phase difference is detected. The detected phase difference is utilized for regulating the phase difference in the respective frequency systems.

  • Patent number: 4691246
Abstract: A recording circuit for a video tape recorder which records superposedly a frequency-modulated audio signal with a frequency-modulated luminance signal and a carrier color signal converted to a low frequency band records a carrier wave signal which is frequency-modulated by the luminance signal at a substantially constant recording current within the frequency range corresponding to a range from the sync signal leading edge to the white peak. In an ordinary recording circuit, the extent of erasure of the recorded audio signal varies with the content of the frequency-modulated luminance signal when the luminance signal is recorded on the recording track of the frequency-modulated audio signal, because recording is made by increasing a recording current for a signal having an instantaneous frequency which is low.

  • Patent number: 4672468
Abstract: A VTR is furnished with a phase-locked loop whose reference input is a color signal subcarrier. The phase-locked loop fixes two sound FM carrier frequencies in constant relationships with the frequency of the color signal subcarrier, thereby to stabilize the carrier frequencies. The two sound FM carrier frequencies are respectively selected to be integral times of f.sub.H /2 (where f.sub.H denotes the frequency of a horizontal synchronizing signal). The frequencies of the beats between both the sound carrier are fixed to integral times of f.sub.H /2, with the result that the degradation of a reproduced picture attributed to the beats is prevented.

  • Patent number: 4667120
Abstract: A filter integrated circuit having a reference level generator circuit for attenuating its input signal and generating a reference level signal, a pseudofilter circuit including resistors and a variable capacitor as filter elements, and an error amplifier unit for comparing the level of the output signal of the reference level generator circuit with the level of the output signal of the pseudofilter circuit and for generating an automatic adjustment control signal in accordance with the level difference between the output signals. The automatic adjustment control signal is supplied to the pseudofilter circuit to change the capacitance value of the variable capacitor in the pseudofilter circuit so that the output signal level of the pseudofilter circuit may become equal to the level of the reference signal. The automatic adjustment control signal is also supplied to at least one filter circuit to change the capacitance of a variable capacitor included therein.

  • Patent number: 4591924
Abstract: In a video tape recorder of the helical scan type, a pair of rotary magnetic heads for the audio signal are provided in addition to the rotary video heads so that the audio signal is recorded on the same slant track as of the video signal on a multiplex basis. The audio head pair is provided with an azimuth angle with opposite polarities from each other and different in value from that of the video head pair. The system has a first operation mode of the standard tape speed and a second operation mode in which the tape is fed at a speed, for example, 1/3 the standard tape speed. The audio and video head pairs are disposed on lines intersecting at right angles with an offset of T.sub.1 /2+T.sub.1 provided in the axial direction of rotation between the two magnetic head pairs, where T.sub.1 is the track pitch of the recording track formed on the tape in the second operation mode. The system produces overlapping tracks for the audio and video signals on the magnetic tape.
