  • Patent number: 4894820
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for double-talk detection in an echo canceller that uses an adaptive digital filter to estimate, from a received signal and a transmitted signal to which an echo signal of the received signal is added, the characteristics of an echo path and generate a simulated echo signal, and subtracts this echo replica from the transmitted signal in order to transmit a residual signal from which the echo signal has been removed, and which during the course of this operation detects the double-talk state according to a double-talk detection threshold and inhibits the estimation of adaptive digital filter; adaptive estimation and the double-talk detection threshold are controlled in accordance with the state of system e.g., whether it is in the single-talk state, whether the echo signal is active or idle, whether there are fluctuations in the echo path, or whether howling is taking place.

  • Patent number: 4811261
Abstract: An adaptive digital filter for identifying a transfer function of a unknown system is employed, for example, for echo cancellation and howling prevention. The transfer function of the adaptive filter can be obtained by the sum of outputs from N paths and forms a system of orthogonal functions having coefficient parameters of four groups of a, b, p and q. The groups p and q are adaptively adjusted in response to an error signal while the groups a and b are previously set based on a measurement effected previously or adaptively adjusted in response to the error signal.

  • Patent number: 4566915
Abstract: A process for producing an age-hardened copper titanium alloy strip includes preparing a copper titanium alloy melt, casting it, hot-working the cast alloy, cold-working the hot-worked alloy as required, annealing the hot-worked or cold-worked alloy, solution heat-treating the annealed alloy, and then the solution heat-treated alloy is age-hardened. The alloy is annealed at a temperature of 500.degree. C. to 700.degree. C. for one to 20 hours. Its solution heat treatment is terminated before or approximately as soon as a precipitated secondary phase has formed a complete solid solution in a master phase, so that the master phase may have an average crystal grain size not exceeding 25 microns. It is preferably terminated within three minutes. The alloy has a titanium content of 2 to 6% by weight.
