  • Patent number: 8160266
Abstract: An active vibratory noise control apparatus has a speaker for canceling vibratory noise in the passenger compartment of a vehicle, the speaker being used as a speaker of one of different audio devices that can be installed on the vehicle. Each of the audio devices has a command key switch assembly. When the command key switch assembly is operated to turn off the transistor, a control signal is applied to a switching control circuit in an active vibratory noise control unit, which identifies the audio device installed on the vehicle. The active vibratory noise control unit generates a canceling signal matching characteristics of the speaker of the identified audio device for canceling vibratory noise in the passenger compartment.

  • Publication number: 20110312354
Abstract: To determine the busy degree of the operating frequency channel caused by other systems and enable a user to know an unused frequency channel having a low communication frequency. A first usage-rate measuring unit 40 measures the usage rate of an operating frequency channel, and a second usage-rate measuring unit 42 measures the usage rates of unused frequency channels. When the usage rate measured by the first usage-rate measuring unit 40 exceeds a predetermined value to generate a busy state, a first usage-rate determining unit 44 displays the unused frequency channel having the low frequency rate, which is determined by the second usage-rate determining unit 45, to recommend the unused frequency channel as a switching destination.

  • Patent number: 8014538
Abstract: An active noise reducing device includes switchover frequency memory which stores a speaker having weaker influence of level drop or dips in gain characteristics of transmission from first speaker and second speaker both working as secondary noise generators to microphone working as a residual signal detector, and also stores a frequency band of that speaker. Output switcher appropriately and selectively switches first speaker over to second speaker in response to the noise frequency at present calculated based on the rpm of engine by frequency calculator. This structure allows the active noise reducing device to work steadily even if level drop or a dip occurs in the gain characteristics of transmission from the speaker to the microphone, and allows suppressing the occurrence of abnormal sound due to divergence or distorted sound due to excessive output. Ideal noise reduction effect can be expected.

  • Patent number: 8011093
Abstract: A method for manufacturing connectors comprises providing a carrier strip with a plurality of first alignment apertures and a plurality of contacts arranged in a row. The carrier strip is cut to desired lengths to form contact band pieces. The first alignment apertures are engaged with first protrusions on a carrier tape to mount each of the contact band pieces to the carrier tape. The first protrusions have a smaller outer diameter than an inner diameter of the first alignment apertures such that there is slight play there between. Resin is insert molded around the rows of the contacts to form a housing. The contacts are then cut from the carrier strip.

  • Patent number: 7839514
Abstract: A multifunction apparatus performs a printing process when the apparatus succeeds in user authentication upon receiving a print request from a PC. The multifunction apparatus calculates an expected print start time based on past usage data thereof, that is, an elapsed time required in the past from the print request to user authentication. The multifunction apparatus further calculates an expected operation time required for preparations for the printing process, based on an current operation status thereof, such as standby mode, color registration adjustment, and the like; and sets as a delay time a time derived from subtracting the expected operation time from the expected print start time. The multifunction apparatus starts warm-up when the delay time elapses.

  • Patent number: 7620188
Abstract: An active vibratory noise control apparatus reduces vibratory noise which is produced in the passenger compartment of a vehicle based on vibratory noise generated by a variable-cylinder internal combustion engine that can selectively be operated in a full-cylinder operation mode in which all of the cylinders are operated and a partial-cylinder operation mode in which some of the cylinders are out of operation. The active vibratory noise control apparatus has a partial-cylinder operation mode determining circuit for determining whether the variable-cylinder internal combustion engine is in the partial-cylinder operation mode or not. Depending on a determined result from the partial-cylinder operation mode determining circuit, a transistor is turned on or off to switch an amplifying circuit which drives a speaker into and out of operation.

  • Publication number: 20090208025
Abstract: An electromechanical converter has independent electric input sections. The output of an active noise reduction controller is inputted into an electric input section and the audio signal from an audio section is inputted into an electric input section. These are mechanically combined at a vibration section and the combined signal is radiated as a sound wave into the space. With such a structure, both the active noise reduction function and the audio reproduction function are realized without installing a large device in an existing audio reproduction apparatus.
