  • Patent number: 7206996
Abstract: A portal site providing machine 20 obtains web pages provided by websites A–E at regular time intervals, and compares the latest web pages with the old web pages obtained last time. Then, the item-by-item comparison is made between the latest and old web pages to determine the degree of updating of the contents. The portal site providing machine 20 provides a portal page which contains images representing respective sites A–E with corresponding size and arrangement according to the degrees of updating.

  • Patent number: 7189171
Abstract: A bearing is provided to have sufficient durability even when CVT fluid having a low viscocity is used, with its flow rate kept small, so that the efficiency of the belt-type continuously variable transmission is improved. The material of the races including the outer race 4 is made of a iron-base alloy containing, by weight, C of from 0.15% to 0.5%, Si of 0.1% to 1.5%, Mn of 0.1% to 1.5%, and Cr of 0.5% to 3.0%. This material is subjected to carbonitriding, quenching, tempering and quenching finish. • Patent number: 7102314
Abstract: A brushless motor control apparatus detects a phase current flowing in a brushless motor, converts the phase current to a vector current including a d-axis current of a magnetic flux direction component and a q-axis current of a torque direction component orthogonal to the d-axis current, calculates a vector voltage instruction value based on differences between a vector current and a vector current instruction value, calculates a phase voltage instruction value and controls rotation of the brushless motor based on the phase voltage instruction value. The apparatus further calculates electric power produced in the brushless motor and protects the brushless motor based on the magnitude of electric power.

  • Patent number: 6995538
Abstract: A region judging circuit judges an electric angle region of a three-phase brushless DC motor based on an output signal of a resolver. A latch timing output circuit determines an optimum latch timing. A driving direction judging circuit judges a rotational direction of the motor based on a comparison in largeness between a pair of phase currents. A latch circuit latches a judgement result of the driving direction judging circuit at the latch timing designated by the latch timing output circuit and retains the judgement result until the next latch timing comes.

  • Publication number: 20050168892
Abstract: An electronic control unit (ECU) stops driving a first switching transistor in a step-up circuit until an actual ground fault is determined after a possible ground fault is detected in a line that is electrically connected with an electric motor. As a result, a voltage stepped-up by the step-up circuit is controlled. Since current flowing through the electric motor does not sharply decrease immediately after the possible ground fault is detected in the line, unusual power steering movement is less likely to be produced. Moreover, switching transistors in an H bridge circuit, which is a motor drive circuit, are protected from damage because no excess voltage is applied to the switching transistors.
