  • Patent number: 4713701
Abstract: A picture producing apparatus forms a picture comprising a plurality of picture elements with different light-reflecting properties providing different optical reflection densities using a plurality of dot forming units to provide dots of recording materials of different concentrations. The optical reflection density range of an entire original picture to be reproduced is determined and selecting circuitry responsive to that determination selects at least one of the dot forming units to form picture elements reproducing the original picture. The dot forming units vary the areas of the picture elements formed by the dots so as to represent in the reproduced picture the optical reflection density range of the original.

  • Patent number: 4604654
Abstract: An image forming method comprises the steps of providing pattern elementary marks which provide an image pattern, controlling the size of the pattern elementary marks, and forming the pattern elementary marks substantially at equal intervals. The controlling step is such that use is made preferentially of the pattern elementary marks in an area wherein the variation in density gradient level relative to the variation in size of the pattern elementary marks is great. An apparatus for carrying out such method is provided.

  • Patent number: 4589184
Abstract: A method of mounting parts to both sides of a main body characterized by moving a carriage at a predetermined speed along a specified path of transport with the main body placed on the carriage; moving a pair of movable tables in synchronism with the carriage in the same direction as the movement thereof, the movable tables being disposed at opposite sides of the transport path and each carrying at least one robot and an assembling device; causing the movable tables to support the main body during the synchronized movement; setting a part held by the robot in a specified position on the main body; attaching the part to the main body by the assembling device; and thereafter delivering the main body from the movable tables onto the carriage. Since the carriage is moved during the assembly of parts, this method assures the assembly line of a high-speed operation.

  • Patent number: 4587535
Abstract: An ink jet recording apparatus comprises: at least one ink jet head to emit a recording ink; main and sub ink tanks to store the ink which should be supplied to the head; a negative pressure generating device to generate a negative pressure to supply the ink from the sub ink tank into the head under the suction action; a pressure sensor, provided in the ink passage, for detecting whether the recording ink substantially remains or not in the sub ink tank when the negative pressure generating device operates. In response to a pressure variation in the ink passage, the pressure sensor determines that no ink substantially remains in the sub ink tank when the pressure in the ink passage is higher than a preset value, thereby generating a detection signal to supplement a new ink into the tank to a control circuit.

  • Patent number: 4449804
Abstract: The present invention relates to an interval timer device for a camera, particularly an interval timer for producing a release signal for operating the shutter release operation of a camera at a certain predetermined frequency and a charge signal for performing the charge operation of the flash device a certain predetermined time before the release signal is produced. In the case of this kind of the interval timer device, because the flash device has been charged a certain predetermined time before the release signal is produced, the flash time can be emitted without fail at the time of photographing. However, because the above device is charged independently of the object brightness, even in case the object brightness is so high that the flash photography is not necessary, unnecessary power is often consumed. In accordance with the present invention, the interval timer device produces the above charge signal only in case of a low object brightness, so as to eliminate the above shortcomings.
