  • Publication number: 20060016968
Abstract: The particle size distribution analyzer of the present invention is equipped with cells C; a light source 2 that irradiates a light L onto particles within the cells C; multiple photo-detectors 31 and 32 that detect the light intensity of a diffraction light and/or a scattering light generated from the particles irradiated by the light L. An information processor 5 calculates particle size distribution of the above-mentioned particles based upon light intensity signals transmitted from each of the above-mentioned photo-detectors 31 and 32, movement retention unit 6 can enable the cells C to be movable between a light irradiation position P where one of the above-mentioned cells C is irradiated by the above-mentioned light L and withdrawal positions established at different positions from the light irradiation position P. A stop unit can stop one of the cells C at the above-mentioned light irradiation position P.

  • Publication number: 20060017898
Abstract: An exposure apparatus includes a barometer for detecting air pressure, a lens driving unit for driving a lens of a projection optical system, a light-source-wavelength changing unit for changing a wavelength of an exposure light source, and a stage driving unit for driving a wafer stage in an optical-axis direction. The apparatus can correct an aberration caused by a change in air pressure by utilizing the lens driving unit, the light-source-wavelength changing unit, and the stage driving unit. During a shot of an exposure of the exposure apparatus, the lens driving unit and/or the stage driving unit are employed to correct the aberration. In the non-exposure state (shot interval), the light-source-wavelength changing unit and/or the lens driving unit as well as the stage driving unit are employed to correct the aberration.

  • Publication number: 20050256836
Abstract: An HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) file processing method of the invention comprises: specifying a character string not influencing a display at a user terminal in an HTML file received from another server according to a request from the user terminal by referring to a definition data storage storing data for specifying the character string not influencing the display at the user terminal; and changing the HTML file so as to reduce data amount in accordance with a method corresponding to an attribute of the specified character string, and transmitting the changed HTML file to the user terminal. As stated above, because the data amount of the HTML file is reduced by performing the processing with respect to the character string not influencing the display at the user terminal, the user at the user terminal is unconscious of the performance of the method according to this invention, and the smooth communication of the Web page data including the HTML file becomes possible.

  • Publication number: 20050222858
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sending method of pay contents in a communication system which carry out communication through predetermined communication network (e.g., radiotelephone network or the like) using a predetermined first communication scheme (e.g., CDMA scheme or the like). The sending method includes radio terminals which carry out peer-to-peer communication using a predetermined second communication scheme (e.g., infrared communication, communication adhering to Bluetooth standards), and a carrier which carries out communication using the first communication scheme with each of the terminals. When pay contents possessed by a first radio terminal are transferred to a second radio terminal, first, permission of transfer of the pay contents to the second radio terminal is received from a carrier and then, the pay contents are transferred. After the pay contents are transferred to the second radio terminal, the carrier is informed of completion of transfer operation.

  • Patent number: 6934818
Abstract: In a write process through channels Ch1, Ch2, and Ch3, the deadline of each channel is set based on the transfer rate variable by the ratio of dummy packets to valid packets, and deadline information is written with write data on a disk. In a read process through a channel Ch4, the deadline is set according to the deadline information read with read data from the disk. Then, data is sequentially processed in order from the data having the earliest deadline. Considering the difference in transfer rate between outer and inner zones on the disk, a write zone is determined. When data is simultaneously recorded through the channels Ch1 and Ch2 on an ASMO in a groove-land record system, the data is sequentially recorded through the channel Ch1 on the groove and through the channel Ch2 on the land.

  • Patent number: 6789177
Abstract: A method to protect data of a drive from illegal accessing without increasing the load of processing on the drive side and to prevent not only illegal copying on the drive side but also an illegal action on the host unit side. Authentication of the drive is executed by the host unit. If the drive is authenticated, then a contents key is encrypted using a host ID registered in advance in a storage area of the host unit and a session key and first identification information read out from a storage area of the drive. Then, the encrypted contents key is transferred to the drive while contents data to be recorded and stored into the drive are encrypted with the contents key by the host unit. Thereafter, the encrypted contents data is transferred to the drive.

  • Publication number: 20040128281
Abstract: A difference data reception unit 32 receives difference data for all the segments and stores it in a nonvolatile memory. A restoration processing unit stores the restoration process segment number X indicative of a current process segment in the nonvolatile memory, and then restores the segment data from the difference data and stores it in the nonvolatile memory. An overwrite processing unit stores the overwrite processing segment number X-1 indicative of an immediately preceding process segment in the nonvolatile memory, and then reads the restored data which is restored on the immediately preceding segment from the nonvolatile memory and overwrites it onto the data to be written of the volatile memory.

  • Publication number: 20040054700
Abstract: A backup method by differential compression back up the data of a client by the server so as to decrease overhead at backup. After the client creates the associated differential compression data before backup, the client connects with the server and transfers the created differential compression data groups and association information to the server, and the server saves the difference compression data groups to a storage medium according to the association information, and disconnects the connection. When the data is restored, the server reads the saved differential compression data groups according to the association information and transfers the data to the client, and the client decompresses and develops the differential compression data groups according to the association information, and rebuilds the data.
