  • Publication number: 20080101000
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a display section and a main body section. The display section is disposed on a first surface and has a display panel and a display panel case. The display panel case houses the display panel such that the display panel can display an image. The display panel case has a protrusion portion formed at a first end. The main body section is disposed on a second surface and has an input section and a depressed portion. The depressed portion is formed at a second end of the second surface and has a pierced portion and a housing portion. The pierced portion is formed from the second surface to an opposite surface thereof such that a battery is attached to the pierced portion. The housing portion axially houses the protrusion portion on a side opposite to the input section with respect to the pierced portion.

  • Publication number: 20060258254
Abstract: The step of forming an opening in an insulating layer to expose a carbon nanotube layer is performed using two types of dry etching different from each other in conditions. In the first-stage dry etching step, a hole is formed in the insulating layer to such a depth as not exposing the carbon nanotube layer. Thereafter, in the second-stage dry etching step, a bottom surface portion of the hole is removed, thus exposing an upper surface of the carbon nanotube layer. A method of manufacturing an electron emission source capable of improving performance of an electron emission portion is thus obtained.

  • Patent number: 6961903
Abstract: At a first step, a disc is mounted on a playback apparatus. Subsequently, at a second step, CD-TEXT data recorded in the lead-in area of the disc is read out and decoded before being stored into a memory unit. Then, the CD-TEXT data containing character information is searched for a string of characters. The second step is followed by a third step to form a judgment as to whether or not a string of characters representing address information has been found in the search. If found, then at a fourth step, the string of characters found in the search is recognized as address information and displayed in a format for a string of characters representing a URL or an electronic-mail address. As a result, CD-TEXT data can be searched for a string of characters which is recognized as address information.

  • Patent number: 6519676
Abstract: To determine whether a record medium loaded on a drive has character information in a management area of the record medium corresponding to data received from the drive and to obtain the character information when the record medium has the character information as the determined result. A system includes an optical disc drive and a host computer 53 connected through an interface 42, wherein the drive has a servo and signal processing portion 30, a system controller 41, and a CD-ROM signal processing portion 50. The servo and signal processing portion 30 reproduces data from a disc 21. The system controller 41 controls the entire operation of the drive. Return data is sent from the drive to the host computer 53 corresponding to a read table of contents (TOC) command received from the host computer 53. A code that represents the data length is contained in a header of the return data. With the code, it is determined whether or not the disc 21 is a CD-TEXT disc.

  • Patent number: 6301638
Abstract: A reproducing method for obtaining character information in a plurality of languages from a CD-ROM drive and automatically displaying the character information in the most proper language on a screen. An optical disc drive and a host computer 53 are connected through an interface 42. The drive has a servo and signal processing portion 30, a system controller 41, and a CD-ROM signal processing portion 50. The servo and signal processing portion 30 reproduces data from a disc 21. The system controller 41 controls the entire operation of the drive. The drive sends back return data corresponding to a read TOC command to a computer 53. The computer 53 determines whether or not CD-TEXT data contains character information of a language corresponding to the country information of the OS. When the CD-TEXT data contains the character information, the computer 53 displays the character information. Otherwise, the computer 53 displays character information in a predetermined language (English of block 0).

  • Patent number: 6093534
Abstract: A monoclonal antibody specifically recognizing adeno-associated virus CAP protein, which is produced by hybridomas obtained by fusing lymphocytes prepared from a mammal which has been immunized with the adeno-associated virus CAP protein or a recombinant thereof as an antigen with a myeloma cell line. The monoclonal antibody of the present invention is a novel antibody and capable of specifically recognizing the adeno-associated virus CAP protein. Thus, it is applicable to the detection of the adeno-associated virus and the purification of adeno-associated virus vectors for gene therapy.

  • Patent number: 5912300
Abstract: The present invention provides a poly-amino acidic oligonucleotide-carrier comprising a poly-lysine:serine random copolymer. This carrier is bonded with oligonucleotide without causing precipitation, and smoothly releases the bonded oligonucleotide within cells. It is therefore useful as an in vivo transport carrier of an oligonucleotide drug against various genetic diseases and viral diseases such as AIDS. It also makes a great contribution to creation of various useful animals and plants by genetic engineering technique, including virus-resistant plants.
