  • Publication number: 20100146910
Abstract: A folding mattress support system replaces both a conventional box spring and the bed frame with rails. The mattress support system is lighter, quieter and easier to transport, and also provides more storage space beneath the mattress. The mattress support system includes bed frame assemblies, central connecting bars, edge attachments and a bed skirt. Leg brackets fold out from the bed frame assemblies, which themselves unfold in the middle. Central connecting bars connect inner side edges of the bed frame assemblies. Plastic edge attachments are attached at outer corners of the bed frame assemblies and hold a bed skirt taught around the frame assemblies when the frame assemblies are standing on the extended leg brackets. A mattress is then placed on top of the assembled mattress support system. Optionally, metal edge attachments at the head corners of the mattress support system both hold the bed skirt and support a headboard.

A mattress is then placed on top of the assembled mattress support system. Optionally, metal edge attachments at the head corners hold both the bed skirt and a headboard. Alternatively, headboard attachments protrude from under the bed skirt and support a headboard.

  • Publication number: 20080263774
Abstract: A mattress add-on is placed on top of an existing mattress and provides a rejuvenated fire-safe mattress. The mattress add-on has a flame-resistant covering that fits tightly over the sides of the existing mattress and also has flaps to cover the bottom of the existing mattress. The mattress add-on in combination with the flame-resistant covering is an inexpensive means of providing both more comfort as well as fire protection safety to consumers who retain their existing mattresses. The mattress add-on does not slip on the existing mattress because it is held tightly in place by tightening the flame-resistant covering using straps across the bottom of the existing mattress. The mattress add-on is customized to a user's physical profile by using zones of foam having different densities. In addition, the mattress add-on may include metal coils or air chambers.

  • Publication number: 20070160740
Abstract: A process for the production of animal feed additives from fermentation broth containing L-lysine is disclosed. The process does not require filtering of biomass in order to remove the biomass and produces granulated lysine of controllable lysine content with a high bulk density, low viscosity, and a low hygroscopic property which does not require the addition of an anti-absorptive substance. In this process, a lysine fermentation broth produced after slant culture, flask culture, seed process, and cultivation process is concentrated to a solid content of about 44˜52%. A product with low hygroscopicity, high bulk density, and the intended amount of contents is produced after being mixed with substances for controlling the amount of contents and granulated by coating the surface of the seeds. This process enables a production of animal feed additives having a lysine-HCl content of at least 65%, a water content of at most 3%, and a bulk density of 670±50 kg/m3.
