    Abstract: A backlight unit according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure includes a light emitting diode with a substrate, a light emitting unit disposed on the substrate, and a mold frame disposed on the substrate that surrounds the light emitting unit, and a light guide adjacent to the light emitting diode. The light emitting diode includes a light emitting window defined by the mold frame from which light generated by the light emitting unit is emitted, the vertical height of the light emitting window is the same as the thickness of the light guide, and the maximum vertical height of the mold frame is greater than the thickness of the light guide.

    Abstract: A container floor apparatus using wood polymer composite includes traverse supports continuously disposed to longitudinal frames at a predetermined interval, the longitudinal frames being longitudinally connected to vertical columns at four corners of the container. The longitudinal supports have a single central rail formed in the shape of “” at upper portions of the traverse supports between the traverse frames and have a bottom surface and base portions, and two side rails formed in the shape of “” at both sides of the central rail and further provided with reinforcement pieces. Convex floor members are made from wood polymer composite by mixing 30-50% of synthetic resin, 50-70% of wood flour and chaff or pulp and 2-10% of a binder. Gaskets surround each side surface portion of the floor members. Fixing means couple the floor members to the traverse supports in the block mounting spaces.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a liquid crystal display panel which displays an image, a light guide plate, a backlight unit including a light source part which generates and supplies light, and a panel temperature adjusting member on a surface of the liquid crystal display panel. The panel temperature adjusting member includes a transparent resistor, and a power supply which supplies power to the transparent resistor. The transparent resistor emits a larger amount of heat to a region of the liquid crystal display panel, which is distant from the light source part, than to a region close to the light source part, such that the liquid crystal display panel has uniform temperature distribution.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes light source blocks driven as follows in displaying at least one frame (possibly every frame). An image to be displayed includes image pixels. Each light source block corresponds to an image pixels block which is a block of image pixels to be displayed directly opposite to the light source block. For each image pixels block, a block mean value and a block maximum value are determined. A parameter is determined which corresponds to a total luminance of the frame. For each image pixels block, a block representative value is determined which corresponds to the parameter, the block representative value being within a range between the block mean value and the block maximum value inclusive. During the frame, each light source block is driven to provide a luminance which is an increasing function of the corresponding block representative value.

    Abstract: A light emitting module includes a light source, a printed circuit board, and a connector part. The printed circuit board includes a wiring layer having a wiring electrically connected to the light source, a heat dissipation layer formed under the wiring layer, and a through hole passing through the wiring layer and the heat dissipation layer. The connector part is disposed in the through hole and is electrically connected to the wiring for transmitting a power through the wiring to the light source. The heat dissipation layer may effectively dissipate the heat generated from the light source. A height of a protrusion of the connector part protruding from an upper surface of the printed circuit board may be minimized, such that a dark area caused by the connector part may be minimized, and display quality of a display apparatus including the light emitting module may be optimized.

    Abstract: A light source apparatus includes a light source, a duty determining part, a luminance shifting determining part and a duty compensation part. The light source includes a plurality of light-emitting blocks. The duty determining part determines a duty of light-emitting blocks by using a block representative value obtained from a plurality of image blocks that are divided in accordance with a plurality of light-emitting blocks. The luminance shifting determining part compares block representative values of a previous frame with block representative values of a current frame to determine whether a luminance shifting is generated at an adjacent light-emitting block. The duty compensation part compensates a duty of the adjacent light-emitting blocks when the luminance shifting is generated at the adjacent light-emitting blocks. Thus, the duty of the adjacent light-emitting blocks determined as a block representative value is compensated so that an occurrence of flicker may be decreased.
