Abstract: An event-processing method and system are provided for efficiently re-delivering notification events stored by a Remote User Interface Server (RUIS), from the RUIS to remote user interface clients (RUICs), in a home network supporting an RUI. An RUIC transmits an information request to the remote user interface server, receives, from the RUIS, notification event information corresponding to the information request, transmits a notification event request based on the received notification event information to the RUIS, and receives, from the RUIS, at least one notification event corresponding to the notification event request.

Abstract: A method and system wherein a device remotely controls a user interface being executed in a remote device, using a remote user interface. The device discovers a server that supports a remote control interface. The device receives a list of remote devices that the device can control from the server. A selection input is received to select a remote device from the list of remote devices. A device selection request corresponding to the selection input is transmitted to the server. A remote control interface corresponding to the device selection request is received from the server. The selected remote device is controlled via the received remote control interface.

Abstract: A remote user interface system and method for effectively controlling functions of a client device and remote user interface rendered on the client device by means of a client-specific or content-specific control user interface rendered on a remote control device is provided. A method for controlling a remote user interface device with a remote control device includes broadcasting, at the remote control device, a discovery message for discovering the remote user interface device; performing, when a response is received, a capability exchange and matching with the remote user interface device; rendering a control user interface transmitted by the remote user interface device and displaying the rendered control user interface on a screen; and transmitting, when an input is detected on the control user interface, a control command corresponding to the input to the remote user interface device.

Abstract: A method is provided for controlling access to a resource of a Remote User Interface (RUI) server in an RUI client of an RUI system. The method includes sending a request for an RUI page for controlling the resource to the RUI server and receiving the RUI page, generating a connection to a Mutual Exclusion (MUTEX) of the RUI server, which corresponds to the resource, using the received RUT page, and sending a request for MUTEX locking for restricting access to the resource to the RUI server.

The method includes extracting the state information in response to a store request for the state information from a user; providing the state information to the server; receiving from the server location information indicating a route to a location where the state information is stored; and storing the location information in a bookmark module.

Abstract: In a method and apparatus for providing/receiving a user interface (UI), a client requests a first server for a UI that is necessary to access a second server, and the first server having a plurality of UIs provides at least one of the plurality of UIs to the client. Accordingly, the client, which cannot use a UI provided by the second server, can receive the UI from the first server and access the second server.

Abstract: A method, system, and device for controlling a device connected to a UPnP (universal plug and play) home network using the Internet is provided. This method includes: subscribing to the external device outside the UPnP home network and informing the external device of control information about the device connected to the UPnP home network; converting a third-party notification message about control of the device connected to the UPnP home network, the third-party notification message being received from the external device via the Internet, into a control message with respect to a device that provides a web-based user interface or a device that provides no web-based user interfaces; and transmitting the control message to the device that provides a web-based user interface or the device that provides no web-based user interfaces.
