The disk drive apparatus includes: a main body casing having a first slot provided at a first side surface to load a disc; a protection cover having a first cover provided on the first side surface of the main body casing, wherein the first cover covers a portion of the disc exposed outside the main body casing through the first slot and forms a passage through which the disc passes during loading and unloading; a disc detecting sensor disposed in the first cover which detects the disc; and a disc loading unit disposed in the main body casing and having a loading roller which is driven so as to load the disc if the disc is detected by the disc detecting sensor.

The small diameter loading lever and the large diameter loading lever are disposed at a same height above the guide arms.

The optical disc drive includes a main deck, a tray, a turntable, an optical pickup, a traverse deck, and a balancer. The optical pickup is mounted movably in the back-and-forth direction to emit light to an optical disc placed on the turntable to read and write information from and to the optical disc. On the traverse deck, the turntable is mounted at the front side of the traverse deck and the optical pickup is mounted movably in the back-and-forth direction. The balancer is mounted on the traverse deck to balance the weights of the left and right sides of the traverse deck.

It can reduce the number of components, and decrease a power loss generated at the transmission.

Abstract: A capstan motor connection structure of a tape recorder comprising a first connector disposed at a main printed circuit board (PCB) to be electrically connected to the main PCB, a second connector disposed at an end of the main base corresponding to the first connector to be electrically connected to the first connector, and a cable penetratingly supported in a supporting hole formed in the main base, for electrically connecting the sub PCB of the capstan motor to the second connector. The capstan motor is arranged with its body being placed in a hole formed in the main PCB, to thus reduce a distance between the main base and the main PCB. Accordingly, the overall height of the tape recorder can be reduced.
