In some models the support unit will function as the stabilizer of the system or to make the functions simpler. The main idea is used in making multiple models for use in different areas of the body. Many times patients need help to move to the exam room. The customary exam tables in the exam rooms have a higher height thus the patient has to move up one step and then to rotate for being able to sit on the exam table.
