Abstract: A puncture resistant glove is shown which includes a puncture resistant layer disposed on non-puncture resistant portions for protection of a wearer's digits. The puncture resistant layer includes a series of shields of puncture resistant material which overlap at the joints to protect the joint, but allow flexing of the joint. The glove may also include accordion-shaped zones which allow easier flexing and extension of the glove. The resulting glove provides protection for the hand while maintaining a good fit and being comfortable.

Abstract: This invention introduces a system which allows a low level of pressure to be applied to the wound site in order to prevent bleeding during a stable period. Some models of this unit also give the option of allowing the unit to be inflated in order to increase the pressure in the area and stop bleeding if it occurs later. Automatic ways of recognizing bleeding are also introduced that utilize a computerized means of recognition and/or application of a set of proper reactions after bleeding, and an automated pressure application as well. It is believed that this unit will help human beings significantly.

Abstract: The use of medication is common and many times is small but potent and should be taken on a timely basis. However, some people have a tendency to forget this and this creates medical and psychological problems. This unit is designed to prevent such occurrences. This unit is a machine that will allow a person to receive his or her medication on a timely basis. The machine will hold the medication in a series of small spaces and will rotate to allow the proper dose to be picked up via a fixed window.

Abstract: This invention introduces a new unit for suctioning, injection and disposing of different fluids into and from the body of a human being by a special syringe which has a system that allows a fewer buttons or three way stop cocks to be used. This unit will be smaller than similar units and easier to be handled, and will allow a better observation of the intra-cardiac pressure of the patient to be done as well. Also this unit allows a push buttons to be used instead of use of three-way stop cock to avoid rotational motion of hands which some people do not like it.

Abstract: This invention introduces a new means and units that are to allow a rapid and clean insertion of bladder and similar catheters. These units will isolate and cover the contaminated surrounding areas by a cover made from synthetic or natural materials and their combinations. It also introduces a series of catheter covers that will cover the bladder catheters and will prevent it from being contaminated. Abstract: Floor structures that are erected on a temporary basis on ground so that they can be removed and not do permanent damage to the environment. In one embodiment a frame is mounted on poles that are staked into the ground. The floor has sections that extend between sides of the frame and are connected together to move in unison to be extended for use and retracted for storage. Such extension and retraction may be motorized. In another embodiment a glass floor structure bridges a pool and steps provide access for people.

Abstract: This invention introduces special types of pressure stockings that are easier to be used and use different techniques of bringing the edges or the body of these supports together, so that it will be easier for a patient to use them on a daily basis or for a pregnant person to put them on while tolerating the difficulties of pregnancy.

Abstract: This application introduces an improved and modified version of previously applied means of prevention from bleeding by this applicant. The previous applications were as follows D. Device, Pressure bandages and dressings, Device 2, D. Device 3, and D. Device 4 which were all primarily designed for this purpose. Here again wraps are primarily made from a non-stretchable material although elastic materials are introduced in which these wraps will allow the application of pressure by an inflatable balloon, fluid-filled bag, or even a hard proper plate to certain wounds on the body to prevent bleeding and related complications. In this application it is stressed that the front part of these units on the wound will be made clear to allow visualization of the wound. A hard plastic is also introduced to be placed in front of the balloon or on the wound site. Many other modifications are introduced as well. The inventor believes that these units will be very useful in this regard.

Abstract: An airway securing system introduces a new means of securing the airway system in patients during a cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The system shows a modified and improved version of an endotracheal tube as well as an esophageal tube that can be also held in place securely by a support unit. The system includes new pieces which may be used to open a patient's mouth which are believed to save more human lives in critical moments.

Abstract: This invention introduces a new series of vacuum cleaners or a special cover for them in which the unit will have a mechanism to prevent polluted air going out via the walls of the collection bag of the commonly used vacuum cleaners to enter into the house. This method uses different methods such as burning the smaller particles and elimination of the burned gases to prevent pollution of the room air. This unit is believed to be very beneficial in preventing the problems due to the release of these small particles into the room.

Abstract: A support system for a Foley catheter attaches to a patient by abdomen and thigh straps and has a compartment that encloses a limited length of the catheter where the catheter exits the urethra. One purpose is to reduce the risk that a confused patient will cause self-injury by pulling the catheter out of the bladder. One embodiment of catheter has a disconnect feature that causes the inserted part of the catheter to remain in the bladder if the patient is able to grasp and pull a portion of the catheter that extends beyond the compartment. This feature also allows voluntary separation permitting a patient to move around temporarily without carrying a urine collection bag. The inserted part has a valve that may be either a check valve or a three-way stopcock. Another feature is an alarm system that gives an alarm if a patients attempts to pull the catheter out.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments of devices for placement at the foot end of a bed for supporting a blanket above a person's toes. The devices are collapsible when not used and can be moved out of the way to change the mattress sheet. Various accessories for the devices are also disclosed, including a heater and a cradle for elevating the feet. The cradle can be motorized and the heater controlled by a controller and a thermostat. A full leg support for supporting the full length of an elevated leg is also disclosed.

Abstract: Bleeding from a wound created as a consequence of catheterization of a vessel proximate the groin is prevented by a balloon that is secured by means of a wrap around the abdomen and thigh, and inflated. Several embodiments are disclosed. In one, the balloon has an edge proximate to and parallel with the groin line; in another, there are two such balloons on opposite sides of the groin line; in a third, a third balloon wedges the first two. The balloons may be attached to the insides of shorts. Electrodes placed over the area can detect bleeding.

Abstract: Various support devices have one or more balloons that are strapped around a portion of the body with a soft layer between them and the body. In some devices, the balloons are separably mounted a strap that encircles a portion of the body. Various forms of balloons are disclosed. In other devices, the balloon has an open area that is disposed over a bony prominence or ulcerated area. An insert for applying medicine may be disposed within the open area. Certain devices are for body joints and therefore have multiple parts that can move toward and away from each other as the joint flexes.

Abstract: A humidifier is constructed from basic units that have a rigid part supporting a hydrophilic part. A lower portion of a basic unit is disposed in a water-filled canal, and the upper portion is exposed to air, especially heated air from a heater. One embodiment is adapted for placement over a floor outlet for heated air to evaporate water from the canal into the heated air to increase the humidity thereof. This embodiment may be above or just below floor level. Various forms of covers are associated with the units.

Abstract: The devices have various features including balloons that are joined by a line of folding parallel with the groin line and a wrap for holding the balloons that has a similar line of folding, but is unconstrained between abdomen- and thigh-wrap portions so as to allow the person to sit up and lie down while balloon pressure is maintained on the groin. Another feature is a stretchable layer of wrap that includes zig-zag elements that allow limited stretch and then prevent further stretch. Rigid covers can be used over the balloons. The balloons are also used with shorts that can be worn by the person.

Abstract: A device adapted to support the head of a seated user relative to a generally upstanding portion of a seat, stroller, or the like, has a strap adapted to encircle the head of the user and the generally upstanding portion. The strap contains a plurality of inflatable balloons having generally flat rear surfaces and expandable frontal surfaces, whereby upon inflation the generally flat rear surfaces of the balloons remain flat, and the frontal surfaces bulge outwardly from the rear surfaces to contact and support the user's head.

Abstract: Various embodiments of pressure bandages use a balloon for applying pressure to a wound through a pad. A cover that is attached to the body by any of several different means holds the balloon against the body, and it contains an open space, or window, providing access to the wound area for wound inspection, pad replacement, observation of bleeding, etc. The window can be closed by a door.

Abstract: A support pad for a keyboard has a number of features including a cover that is attached along the rear edge of the pad and can be pulled over a keyboard on the pad, a riser system for achieving desired height and angulation, and a wrist and/or palm support pad. The riser system is disposed between the support pad and an underlying horizontal surface. One or more inflatable balloons are used to set the height and angulation of the wrist and/or support pad. The support pad for both the keyboard and the palms and/or wrists has an upper exterior layer below which one or more layers of soft plastic bubbles are disposed.

Abstract: The progress of medicine has brought with it the presence of many potent pills that are to be taken with a great accuracy. If these medications are not taken as ordered under or over medications will occur which can be serious. Also the progress of medicine has increased the longevity of the patients and the people live longer with use of many of these medications. However many times living longer is also complicated with weakness of memory which at times happens even in young age. At this point then at time a patient forgets about taking medications and sometimes does not know if has or has not taken a pill. This is at least worrisome if not dangerous and for these reasons this application introduces an automatic reminder for taking the pills as well as an automatic pill dispenser that is to help people to be able to be notified about timing of their medications and also to dispense them regularly. Although the patients with severe degree of impairment of their memory would not be able to use this system.
