Abstract: A method for identifying and controlling remote user equipment on a network side includes: receiving, by a session management device, an identifier of a remote user equipment, and generating, based on the identifier, a policy related to the remote user equipment, where the policy includes the identifier of the remote user equipment; sending the policy to a user plane function device; and identifying, by the user plane function device, a packet of the remote user equipment based on the policy, and implementing policy control on the remote user equipment based on the policy. According to the method, the network side can be compatible with service access of the remote user equipment and can perform service management and policy control on the remote user equipment.

Abstract: A service flow transmission method includes: receiving, by a terminal, a steering mode of a service flow and/or a transmission method of the service flow that are/is sent by a core network element, where a protocol data unit (PDU) session to which the service flow belongs supports a plurality of access technologies; and transmitting, by the terminal, the service flow according to the steering mode and/or the transmission method of the service flow using at least one of the plurality of access technologies.

Abstract: The present application discloses a method, device, and system for selecting a user plane functional entity supporting non-3GPP access ensure service continuity. When a user equipment (UE) performs access via a 3GPP network, subscription data of the UE are obtained by a CP functional entity. The subscription data include indication information that indicates whether the UE is allowed to connect to a non-3GPP network. If the indication information indicates that the UE is allowed to connect to the non-3GPP network, a target UP functional entity supporting the non-3GPP access is selected by the CP functional entity. Abstract: A paging method, a paging device, and system are described. A mobility management network element (MME) obtains location information of user equipment (UE) in a non-3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) network, where the UE already accesses the non-3GPP network. The MME receives a downlink data notification message, where the downlink data notification message carries an identifier of the UE. The MME pages the UE according to the location information of the UE in the non-3GPP network. In some implementations, a paging range may be determined according to the location information of the UE in the non-3GPP network, and a paging message does not need to be sent to all base stations in a registration area of the UE.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an access point name (APN) authorization method, apparatus, and system. The APN authorization method includes: determining, by a network device, a target APN of user equipment UE and a type of an access network that the UE currently accesses; obtaining, by the network device, information about an authorized access network type corresponding to the target APN of the UE; and determining, by the network device according to the type of the access network that the UE currently accesses and the information about the authorized access network type corresponding to the target APN of the UE, whether the target APN of the UE is authorized. In the present disclosure, when APN authorization determining is performed, an operator can appropriately control the APN which the UE is allowed to access.

The embodiments can separate NAS message transfer from session user plane establishment to provide more diversified services for a terminal. The method includes: in a process in which a terminal establishes a connection to a second access network device, obtaining, by the terminal, an identifier of the second access network device; and sending, by the terminal, a first non-access stratum NAS message to a first access network device, where the first NAS message carries the identifier of the second access network device, and the identifier of the second access network device is used by the terminal to establish a session by using the second access network device.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide a session establishment method and system, and a device, to resolve a prior-art problem that NAS message transfer cannot be separated from session user plane establishment and application in some scenarios is limited. In those embodiment, under the establishment method, a first non-access stratum (NAS) message is sent by a terminal to a first access network device corresponding to a first access technology, where the first NAS message is used to request to establish a session. A second NAS message from the first access network device can be received by the terminal, where the second NAS message carries an identifier of a user plane function network element. A session establishment procedure can be initiated by the terminal between the terminal and the user plane function network element based on the identifier of the user plane function network element by using a second access technology.

UE sends an access request message to a core network device on the 3GPP network, and the core network device sends an unauthorized access message to the UE after determining that the UE has no permission to access the 3GPP network. The unauthorized access message includes authentication information of the core network device. The UE performs authentication on the core network device according to the authentication information of the core network device, and executes a corresponding network access policy after authentication on the core network device by the UE succeeds, that is, after the UE determines that a source of the unauthorized access message is authorized.

Abstract: A device access method includes obtaining, by a mobility management entity, an identifier of a remote device and an identifier of a relay device, determining, by the mobility management entity based on at least one of the identifier of the remote device or the identifier of the relay device, to allow the remote device to access the network using the relay device, and sending, by the mobility management entity, a registration success message to the remote device using the relay device.
