  • Publication number: 20200154223
Abstract: A method comprises driving a microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) transducer of a microphone assembly using a test electrostatic signal. The microphone assembly comprises a substrate, a cover, a port providing an acoustic path from the MEMS transducer to an external atmosphere, and a non-porous elastomeric membrane disposed across the port and structured to seal the microphone assembly. A test electrostatic response of the MEMS transducer is measured, and a difference between the test electrostatic response and a calibration electrostatic response for a corresponding boundary condition of the membrane is determined. A calibration parameter is determined using stored calibration data based on the difference. The calibration data correlates calibration electrostatic responses with calibration acoustic responses of the MEMS transducer across a range of boundary conditions of the membrane. An acoustic response of the MEMS transducer is adjusted using the calibration parameter.

  • Patent number: 10628757
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for establishing and using a pollutant emission scavenging forecasting (PESF) model to calculate a purgeable pollutant emission to dynamically control an emitted pollutant at any target concentration. The dynamic control considers the initial pollutant concentration and pollutant scavenging ability of atmosphere. The method further takes into account the constraint conditions specified by a user, and employs a dynamic emission correction system to quickly calculate an optimal pollutant emission scheme. If the emission is lower than minimum acceptable value for a current time instance (a moment), the method corrects the emission intensity before (prior to) this moment by changing the initial concentration at this time. This initial concentration is the final pollutant concentration of a prior moment.

  • Patent number: 10521121
Abstract: Provided are an apparatus, system and method for apparatus, system and method for throttling an acceptance rate for adding host Input/Output (I/O) commands to a buffer in a non-volatile memory storage device. Information is maintained on an input rate at which I/O commands are being added to the buffer and information is maintained on an output rate at which I/O commands are processed from the buffer to apply to execute against the non-volatile memory. A determination is made of a current level of available space in the buffer and an acceptance rate at which I/O commands are added to the buffer from the host system to process based on the input rate, the output rate, the current level of available space, and an available space threshold for the buffer to maintain the buffer at the available space threshold. I/O commands are added to the buffer to process based on the acceptance rate. The I/O commands are accessed from the buffer to process to execute against the non-volatile memory.

  • Publication number: 20190372389
Abstract: A resonant turn-off circuit is provided to disconnect an inadequate power source and transfer a load to an alternate power source. In the circuit, a main switch is turned off before the AC cycle of the power source crosses zero. As a result, the main switch may be turned off quickly to transfer electric power supplied to a load to a second power source. The circuit may include resonant switches, a capacitor, a pre-charging power supply and an inductor. When it is desired to turn off the main switch, a resonant switch is turned off to cause a voltage reversal across the switch.

  • Patent number: 10483693
Abstract: A sliding contact assembly for a DC electrical outlet receives plug contacts of an electrical plug. The assembly includes sliding contact structure having a base and a plurality of electrical sliding contacts fixed to the base. A housing includes a first end wall having an internal top surface and second end wall opposing the first end wall. The second end wall has an internal bottom surface. The housing has a side wall structure defining an internal chamber between the top surface and the bottom surface. The sliding contact structure is disposed in the housing to be movable linearly within the chamber. A spring is disposed between the top surface of the housing and a surface of the base so that when the plug contacts are completely disconnected from the associated sliding contacts, the spring rapidly forces the sliding contacts away from the plug contacts, reducing arcing energy there-between.

  • Patent number: 10372446
Abstract: Technology to dynamically modulate read granularity of a memory device. A computing system may include a controller and one or more memory devices coupled to the controller, the one or more memory devices including instructions, which when executed by the controller, may cause the computing system to determine whether a read to a memory device satisfies a sub-page read policy. In addition, the instructions, when executed, may cause the computing system to issue a sub-page read command to retrieve data from the memory device at sub-page granularity when the read satisfies the sub-page read policy. Moreover, the instructions, when executed, may cause the computing system to issue a full-page read command to retrieve the data at full-page granularity when the read does not satisfy the sub-page read policy or when a read for a segment of sequentially stored data does not satisfy the sub-page read policy.
