  • Patent number: 5474476
Abstract: A connector includes a hollow prong, a grounding shell, an insulation base, and an electrical core. One end of the prong is centrally accommodated in the base and the grounding shell is peripherally mounted on the base with mounting tabs of the grounding shell engaging with notches of the base and thereby spacing the prong and the grounding shell apart. The electrical core has two wires. One of the wires is soldered to one of the mounting tabs and the other wire is soldered to the prong through an opening of the base.

  • Patent number: 5459299
Abstract: A car cigarette lighter is suitable to be received in different sizes of sockets each of which includes a positive pole and a negative pole therein. The car cigarette lighter includes a cylinder body, a neck extending from the cylinder body, a head extending from the neck. Four elongated grooves and four elongated ridges are alternately disposed with each other in a periphery of the cylinder body. Two elastic wings are formed at two opposite ridges. Two U-shaped engaging devices each including a pair of prongs are received in the four grooves, with each prong being received in a corresponding rear section of a corresponding elongated groove and leaving a front section of the groove unoccupied. Each U-shaped engaging device is slidable along the corresponding pair of elongated grooves.

  • Patent number: 5443159
Abstract: A tri-cassette carrier includes a first panel, two protrusions projecting from the first panel and each including a head formed at a free end portion, two hooks projecting from a free edge of the first panel and each including a barb formed on a free end potion, a second panel hinged to the first panel, two clips formed on the second panel, a third panel hinged to the second panel, two protrusions projecting from the third panel and each including a head formed at a free end portion, a strip projecting from a free edge of the third panel, and two barbs formed on the strip. The barbs formed on the hooks are engageable with the barbs formed on the strip for retaining the carrier in a closed position. The strip defines two recesses each forming a thin portion on which a corresponding one of the barbs is formed.

  • Patent number: 4894025
Abstract: A plug including a prong, a cylindrical insulating member, a clamping sleeve, a cord and a plastic sleeve. The cylindrical insulating member has a lengthwise oriented central circular slot for receiving the prong, a vertically oriented rectangular slot, a slit, two recesses on lateral sides, and two fixing plates. The clamping sleeve has a notch, two cutouts adjacent the notch, and two engaging bodies adjacent to the two cutouts respectively. The two engaging bodies are engageable in the two recesses and the clamping sleeve has an extension piece which is formed with a circular hole and a rectangular hole. The end of the extension piece is further extended to define two clamping plates. The cord has a conducting wire and a copper wire. The conducting wire is connectable to the prong by using a pair of electric poles. The plastic sleeve is provided to enclose the clamping sleeve.

  • Patent number: 4675645
Abstract: An improved high frequency selecting switch terminal comprising two conductor pins which are coaxial. When a conductor pin from a cable is inserted into the terminal, it pushes the front end of the first conductor pin forward into the front end of the second conductor pin. At the front ends of the first and second conductor pins are first and second sliding blocks which force the pins forward. Thus, input signals are transmitted from the cable to the switch. The terminal further comprises a thick film resistor which connects the front end of the second conductor pin and a conductor ring which is disposed on the front surface of the second sliding block. When the cable is removed, the first and second sliding blocks move to the original position and the conductor ring contacts with the rim of the terminal housing. In this way, the terminal absorbs undesirable signals from the surroundings so as to prevent interference.
