The system includes a serving system having a database that stores a plurality of location-based digital contents and relevant hashtags. The system provides a browser program executed in a user device. The browser program is used to connect to the serving system for browsing the location-based digital contents provided by the serving system. In the method, the serving system receives position information from the user device so as to determine a geographic range. After querying the database, location-based digital contents within the geographic range can be obtained. The hashtags associated to the location-based digital contents within the geographic range can be obtained and displayed on the user interface for recommending the location-based digital contents within the geographic range to the user.

When the server receives a selection of one of discussion-topic categories displayed on a first layer discussion-topic page, the discussion-topic database is queried for rendering a second layer discussion-topic page. After querying the database according to the geographic range, one or more location-based contents correlated with a geographic location within the geographic range can be obtained. Afterwards, the linking-icon library is queried for obtaining the location-based content-linking icon that is used to be marked at the geographic location on a graphical user interface according to the category of the one or more location-based contents. The location-based content-linking icon is dynamically updated when the category of the one or more location-based contents is changed.

Abstract: A method, a system for providing sight information, and a computer-readable recording medium are provided. The system provides a server having a content database and a sight-and-image database. A geographic range can be determined in a server when the server receives a location data from a user device. After querying the sight-and-image database according to the geographic range, one or more sights associated with at least one geographic location within the geographic range can be obtained. Afterwards, the content database is queried for obtaining one or more contents that are associated with the one or more sights. When query results are provided to the user device, the one or more sights are marked within the geographic range on a map interface.

In the server, the topic-discussion database is queried for obtaining one or more location-related discussion topics within a geographic range according to location information transmitted by a user device. When a user selects one of location-related discussion-topic-category links, the server accordingly provides contents on a first layer topic-discussion page to be displayed by the user device. When a user identification data is received from a user device, a user preference is acquired by querying a database, so as to match one or more digital contents that are consistent with the user preference. These digital contents are grouped according to locations of the digital contents. Multiple thumbnail images representing different groups of digital contents within a geographic range are generated. The thumbnail images are provided for the user device to display on the graphical user interface. The graphical user interface switches to the geographic range represented by the thumbnail image that is selected by a user. Multiple linking points are included in the geographic range, and the user selects one of the linking points to play corresponding digital content(s).

Abstract: A method and a system for providing a location-based personalized content are provided. A serving system is provided for collecting activity data of a user on the Internet and forming location-based personalized data according to geographic information associated with the activity data. Geography-based features related to the activity data can be learned so as to generate a location-based personalized preference model that is used to describe a user preference. When the serving system receives location data from a computer of the user, one or more location-based personalized contents that match the user preference within a geographic range can be obtained. Afterwards, one or more links based on the location-based personalized content is then transmitted to the computer, and the one or more links can be marked in a browsing program executed in the computer.

Abstract: A method and a system for matching location-based content are provided. The method is operated in a serving system. A content setting page is provided for a client to set a matching criterion (at least including a geographic location) to match media contents. The serving system queries a database to find one or more media contents that match the matching criterion. Each of the media contents has a score calculated based on various indicators. The scores are provided for the client to select one of the media contents. A relationship between the selected media content and a message provided by the client is established, and the message is linked to a POI within a geographic range of the geographic location according to the matching criterion. The message serves as a recommendation of product or service marked at the POI for a user to watch the media content.
