Abstract: The disclosure is related to a method and a computer apparatus for processing a border of a computer figure and merging the figure into a background image. In the method, a user interface is provided for the user to operate the computer figure through a touch screen. The computer figure is configured to be merged into a background image, or a specific image object. The computer figure is processed by performing a border-treatment algorithm when it is moved and combined with the background image. In the process of border-treatment, the graphic information of the background image is taken into consideration. The computer figure is allowed to be well merged into the background image by considering the background's graphic information when the images are combined. Therefore, a visual effect of fusing the images can be achieved.

Abstract: The disclosure is related to a method and a system for processing composited images. The method is operated in a computer. A software-enabled user interface is provided for a user to create a composited image using a touch screen. In the beginning, in response to the user's manipulation, at least two images are retrieved from a database. A background image and a foreground image are selected from the images. The user interface allows the user using a gesture over the background image displayed on the touch screen for generating a series of touch signals covering a specific area. The touch signals render a mask image. The mask is applied to the foreground image. The mask image of the background image covers the foreground image so as to create a new foreground image. The composited image is created when the new foreground image is composited with the background image.

Abstract: A method of instant messaging is provides. The method comprises providing an image frame for display of a message in an event of instant messaging, the image frame configured to exhibit a textual input, a background environment and a character associated with the message; receiving at least one of a textual input, a background environment or a character from a user; and integrating into the image frame the received at least one of the textual input, the background environment or the character.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method for generating animated content is provided. In one operation, a first headshot photo is attached to a body figure. The body figure is configured to perform a series of motions associated with the body figure. In one operation, while the series of motions of the body figure is maintained, the first headshot photo is replaced by a second headshot photo. In one operation, an animation file is generated. The animation file includes the body figure performing the series of motions and attached with one of the first and second headshot photo. In one operation, the animation file is displayed.

Abstract: A method for generating an animated content is provided. The method comprises receiving a first base headshot photo, the first base headshot photo exhibiting a first emotion; receiving a second base headshot photo, the second base headshot photo exhibiting a second emotion different from the first emotion; generating a first derivative headshot photo by adjusting a facial feature of the first base headshot photo; generating a second derivative headshot photo by adjusting a facial feature of the second base headshot photo; forming a first set of photos by selecting photos from the first base headshot photo, the second base headshot photo, the first derivative headshot photo and the second derivative headshot photo; and generating a first animated content based on the first set of photos.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a social networking system including an internet server is provided. The internet server includes an I/O port for transmitting and receiving electrical signals to and from a client device. The internet server further includes one or more processing units and a memory storing one or more programs. When executed by the one or more processing units, the one or more programs enable the internet server to receive a first headshot photo and a second headshot photo from the client device. The first headshot photo is attached to a body figure, which is configured to perform a series of motions associated with the body figure. The first headshot photo is switched by the second headshot photo during the series of motions of the body figure at a random moment or a predetermined moment. Abstract: Embodiments of a device for providing an interface to the Internet using standard analog telephones and household telephone lines are described. An interactive console incorporates a display panel, analog telephone adapter, broadband router, and wireless Internet protocol interface in an integrated housing. The interactive console connects to a standard analog telephone, and interfaces the telephone to an Internet protocol network. A server computer coupled to the Internet protocol network provides Internet and digital network services to users of the console, as well as interconnection to other server computers and resources on the Internet. The interactive console and server system thus provide an interface for existing telephone users to gain Internet intelligence and interact with the greater Internet community.

Abstract: A method for decomposing a service activation request (SAR) into sub-requests for specific network resources and classifying the SAR with an adaptive bucket value based on the dynamic performance characteristics of the corresponding network resources. Each SAR has a virtual bucket value whose size is determined by the bucket values of its constituent sub-requests. Over time, as multiple SARs are processed, the bucket values associated with each requested resource are adjusted to reflect system resource loading and availability. If the bucket value of a constituent sub-request is adaptively decreased down to a zero value, for instance due to an overflow condition or an excess of requests for that particular service, any new SAR requesting the same resource will be prevented from decomposition and processing. This will happen even if the sub-request is mature, i.e., due to be executed in the very near-term.

Abstract: An automated method and apparatus for classifying a customer service activation request (SAR) according to whether repeatable, schedulable, or scaleable elements are present. When the request has no repeating elements, a traditional SAR is forwarded and serviced by the network management system according to provisions well-known in the art. In the more complex case, however, a SAR comprises elements that are both repeatable and schedulable and is thus classified as a service activation module (SAM). An automated process first determines the starting quality of service (QoS) level at the beginning of the service life cycle requested by the customer. The process next determines the life cycle ending time as well as the trigger times at which elements repeat or are reinitiated. In some embodiments of the present invention, the SAM is examined for resource availability. If one or more resources are not available during the service life cycle, the process generates a report.
