  • Publication number: 20170371652
Abstract: Software translation quality and efficiency are improved by providing user interface (UI) context for translators. Unicode symbols are used to uniquely tag user-visible strings from the source code and into resource files. Those strings include titles, product names, error messages, strings in images and any other text that may be present on the user interface. Once the ‘pseudo’ resource files are integrated into a build, automation is run to gather screenshots of the application. Image recognition is then used to link screenshots of the UI in which a resource file string appears, such that screenshots will be brought forward and displayed to the translator when working on translating the user-visible strings of the software being localized.

  • Patent number: 9852429
Abstract: A method or system that receives a product definition that includes a feature family having data defining one or more product features. The product definition including one or more corresponding rules defining one or more relationships between one or more product features. The method or system receiving input selecting one or more feature families of interest. The method or system identifying the one or more rules that provide a relationship connecting the one or more feature families to the selected feature families of interest. The method or system converting the identified rules to one or more positive logic rule groups. The method or system generating one or more global representations of the product definition by interacting the one or more positive logic rule groups to produce a result that defines the relationship between the interacted positive logic rule groups and storing the results that are determined as being valid.

  • Publication number: 20170206304
Abstract: A system is provided with a memory device and a processor. The memory device is adapted to store data representative of a multi-valued decision diagram (MDD) specifying a buildable space of all possible valid configurations of a vehicle. The processor is in communication with the memory and is programmed to identify an invalid configuration, and to generate a restricted buildable space, including to determine an edit distance of each complete path indicative of a number of features to change the invalid configuration of that path to one of the valid configurations, identify a minimum of the edit distances, and remove configurations having edit distances larger than the minimum. The processor is further programmed to identify at least one feature to change the invalid configuration to at least one valid configuration based on the restricted buildable space; and to generate output indicative of the at least one feature to change.

  • Publication number: 20160357709
Abstract: A method for dynamically detecting and converting a context-sensitive information in a first language and a first format to a second language and a second format that is understandable to an end user based on a user-specified setting is provided. The method may use a built-in camera of a computing device to dynamically detect and capture an image frame of context-sensitive information. The method may use Optical character recognition (OCR), as well as contextual information such as GPS data available from a mobile computing device, to automatically translate and reformat the context-sensitive information in real-time so a user may understand it unambiguously.

  • Publication number: 20160349597
Abstract: A support device includes a main body and two supporting arms. The main body is configured to support an electronic device. The main body defines a slot. The slot is configured to allow lights to pass through when a camera of the electronic device captures an image. Two supporting arms are coupled to the main body. The two supporting arms are configured to form a first predetermined angle with the main body and are positioned at the first predetermined angle. The two supporting arms are configured to contact a surface to form three supporting points when the two supporting arms are arranged on the surface, solely supporting the main body and the electronic device above the surface. The three supporting points on the surface is distributed in a shape of a surface.

  • Publication number: 20160349909
Abstract: A portable electronic device includes a first body and a second body. The second body includes a processing unit, and a first touch panel, a second touch panel, a keyboard and at least one detecting module electrically connected to the processing unit, respectively. The keyboard is slidably disposed above the second touch panel, and the detecting module is adapted to detect a position of the keyboard. When the keyboard is located at a first position, the keyboard module covers the second touch panel, and the detecting module transmits a first signal to the processing unit so that the first touch panel is turned on. When the keyboard is located at a second position, the keyboard exposes the second touch panel, and the detecting module transmits a second signal to the processing unit so that the first touch panel is turned off. A touch panel controlling method of the portable electronic device is further provided.

  • Publication number: 20160347575
Abstract: A winder includes a case including a base, a winding device positioned on the base for winding or releasing the wire, a braking device located between the winding device and the base, and a loading board positioned on the winding device. The braking device includes a ratchet and a pawl positioned aside the ratchet. The winding device, the ratchet and the loading board can rotate together relative to the base. When the pawl is coupled to the ratchet, rotation of the winding device drives the ratchet and the loading board to rotate along a first direction, for releasing the wire from the winding device. When the pawl is detached from the ratchet, the winding device rotates along a second direction counter to the first direction and drives the ratchet and the loading board to rotate along the second direction, for winding the wire to the winding device.

  • Publication number: 20160352178
Abstract: An assistance device includes a main body, a first permanent magnet, a second permanent magnet, a coil, and a supporting arm. The main body can be configured to support an electronic device. The main body defines a receiving space. The first permanent magnet and the second permanent magnet are fixed in the receiving space. The second permanent magnet and the first permanent magnet cooperatively form a magnetic field. The coil is rotatably received in the receiving space. The supporting arm is fixed to the coil and rotatably coupled to the main body. The supporting arm is steady with respect to the surface when the main body is rotated with respect to the surface. The first permanent magnet and the second permanent magnet rotate with respect to the coil. The coil generates power for the electronic device at the coil goes through the magnetic field.
