  • Patent number: 9207770
Abstract: The present invention discloses an information display system automatically adjusting the projection area and a method thereof. The method comprises steps: using a detection module to capture images of a driver and measure a distance between the detection module and the driver; recognize facial features of a driver (including a position of the driver's eye, a rotation angle of the driver's face, and a direction the driver fixates) to estimate a required displacement of the projection area on the windshield (i.e. the region inside the visual field of the driver); moving or rotating the projection device according to the required displacement of the projection area to make the projection device project images of driving information onto a correct region on the windshield.

  • Patent number: 9045139
Abstract: An intuitive eco-driving assistance system is mounted on a vehicle and has an input module, a control module and an output module. The control module is electrically connected to the input module and the output module. The output module acquires images ahead of the vehicle and speed signals for the control module to recognize a speed limit, traffic lights and a speed and distance of any obstacle on the images. Furthermore, according to the driving limits of the road and actual vehicle speed, the output module prompts for an eco-driving instruction and the speed limit meeting the road condition visually or audibly. Accordingly, the issue of conventional vehicles being structurally complicated and costly for conserving energy, only passively prompting fuel consumption, and consuming more fuel can be solved without requiring any additional and complicated system.

  • Publication number: 20140176714
Abstract: A collision prevention warning method and device capable of tracking a moving object, the method comprises the following steps. Firstly, capturing a plurality of continuous images in a front region of 180 degrees, through identifying category of at least an obstacle in these continuous images, to find a moving obstacle. Next, detect continuous relative positions of the moving obstacle and vehicle, to estimate a first collision region of the vehicle. Then, based on the continuous relative positions and an Extended Kalman Filter Algorithm, to estimate a second collision region of the moving obstacle. Finally, based on the first collision region and the second collision region to calculate a collision point. When the first collision region and the second collision region at least partially overlap each other, estimate out a collision time, and then output an alarm signal to warn the driver and raise driving safety.

  • Publication number: 20140160012
Abstract: An automatic correction device of a vehicle display system and method thereof, comprising following steps: firstly, transform an image of road in front into projection information, to calculate a coordinate model, then detect facial features of a driver, to calculate a face rotation angle and a facial features 3-D position of said driver, to estimate a position field of view for said driver looking to front. Then, said position field of view is substituted into an image overlap projection transformation formula, to generate an overlap error correction parameter. Subsequently, utilize said overlap error correction parameter to correct and update said coordinate model. Finally, utilize a display unit to project said corrected coordinate model to front of said driver, so that projection position of said coordinate model overlaps said position field of view of said driver.

  • Patent number: 8723660
Abstract: The present invention discloses a dual-vision driving safety warning device and a method thereof. The device of the present invention comprises an image capture unit, an image processing unit, a vehicle status sensing unit, a warning judgment logic, and at least one warning unit. The image capture unit includes at least two image capture devices installed in a user's vehicle and capturing the images of the front traffic environment. The image processing unit processes the images and uses the vehicle status signals detected by the vehicle status sensing unit to calculate the distance between the user's vehicle and a front vehicle in the image. The warning judgment logic sends out a control signal when the user's vehicle deviates from a driving lane or approaches a front vehicle too much. The warning unit receives the control signal and sends out a warning signal, such as a sound or a flash, to remind the driver.

  • Publication number: 20140071240
Abstract: In free space detection system and method for a vehicle, left and right images captured from the vehicle environment in a direction of travel of the vehicle are transformed to obtain a depth image with disparity values. The depth image is transformed to obtain a road function and an occupancy grid map. A cost estimation value corresponding to each disparity value on the same image column in a detecting area of the occupancy grid map is estimated using a cost function and the road function such that initial boundary disparity values each defined by one disparity value on the same image column whose the cost estimation value is maximum are optimized to obtain optimized boundary disparity values by which a free space is determined.

  • Patent number: 8552873
Abstract: In a method and system for detecting a driving state of a driver in a vehicle, a face recognition standard corresponding to an environmental condition within the vehicle is established based on a series of image frames generated by capturing consecutively images of the driver upon movement of the vehicle. Upon detection of a variance in the environmental condition during movement of vehicle, the face recognition standard is updated with a corrected face recognition standard corresponding to the environmental condition with the variance. It is determined based on the corrected face recognition standard and the image frames whether the driving state of the driver is a dangerous state, where the driver's face does not face a front windshield of the vehicle or where the driver's face faces the front windshield of the vehicle but one of the driver's eyes is closed.

  • Patent number: 6723030
Abstract: An angle-adjustable exerciser comprises a base, an adjustment disk set and a support plate. The base attaches to a spherical cast piece on top and a plate with large surface at bottom. At the periphery of the spherical cast piece, there is an adjustment disk set composed of the first disk, the second disk and a few screws. At center of the first and second disks, there are holes for the disks to install at the periphery of the cast piece. At the corresponding position, there are several through holes at the first and second disks, so the disks can be connected by at least two positioning screws. The distance between the disks is maintained by positioning screws. Another through hole is for an adjustable screw to tighten or loosen the disks. This is also to adjust the declined angle for the adjustment disk set on the spherical cast piece.
