  • Publication number: 20080087171
Abstract: A hot beverage maker comprises an infusion device comprising a water container having a base and a lid, and a filtration tank in the water container. The filtration tank includes a stopper on a bottom, an overflow outlet on a side wall, a filtration mesh having a hot-water duct of silicone rubber, and a lid pivotally connected to a top. When the hot beverage maker is activated to heat, cold water in the water container flows into heating tubes of a heating device via a connective tube to be heated. Then hot water flows upwards via a connective tube into the filtration tank from the bottom of the filtration tank, thus the coffee powder/tea leaves inside of the filtration mesh is/are sufficiently infused. The stopper the can be pressed upwards to be opened so as to cause the sufficiently infused coffee/tea to drip.

  • Publication number: 20080087151
Abstract: A food-cutting device comprises an upper metal base and a lower metal base respectively formed with recessed areas and shaped mold cavities with a predetermined cavity depth having raised rims outwardly projecting from the recessed areas and having inclined and closed peripheral patterns formed on inner surfaces. Cutters having a height greater than that of the raised rim are provided around the mold cavities of the upper metal base. Moreover, press members respectively have one ends connected to each side of the upper metal base, and the other ends connected to each side portion of a handle pivotally connected to a rear side of the upper metal base. When the upper and lower metal bases are in a close state to heat foodstuff, the foodstuff is pressed into a predetermined configuration, and a filling is encapsulated within the foodstuff followed by cutting the foodstuff by the cutter.

  • Patent number: 7252035
Abstract: A coffee maker includes a housing and a brewing assembly. Pushing a handle leftward moves projections along slides in a direction for rising a cylindrical member until being stopped. A funnel-shaped member with a coffee bag placed therein can be slid along the rails toward the housing until being stopped. Pushing the handle rightward moves the projections in an opposite direction for lowering the cylindrical member until being stopped. The coffee bag is pressed by a clamping member and the funnel-shaped member. The coffee maker will supply hot water to an inflow opening such that hot water may then fall through a recess, a mesh element, and a cavity to pass through the coffee bag and proceeds to form coffee extract. The coffee extract may pass an outflow opening and a filter prior to flowing out of the coffee maker.

  • Patent number: 7252033
Abstract: A coffee maker includes a valve mechanism having a micro switch, an electromagnetic valve, a magnetic covering board activated by the electromagnetic valve for opening or closing a powder path, and a spring interconnecting the covering board and the electromagnetic valve. A motor-driven grinding mechanism includes two ring-shaped outer grinding members having teeth facing each other, and a spring biased inner grinding member including a hollow feed rod with a lead screw formed thereon. A powder fineness adjusting mechanism includes an adjustment lever. In a powder fineness adjustment for producing coarse coffee powder, pivoting the lever toward one direction will pivot an abutment member and move the same outward to push one grinding member for increasing a space between the grinding members filled with coffee beans to be ground. Pivoting the lever toward the other direction will produce fine coffee powder.

  • Patent number: 7237409
Abstract: A safety valve mounted in a steam cleaner is provided. The safety valve comprises a cap assembly, an actuation assembly, and a lock assembly. A rotation of the cap is adapted to detach the cap assembly when the steam cleaner is not operating or steam pressure inside the steam cleaner has not reach a safety value since the legs of the clutch are engaged with the notches of the driving disk. Responsive to generated steam reaching the safety value, the steam passes through the valve to lift the pushing member for compressing both the actuating member and the spring and disengaging the legs from the notches prior to exiting the steam cleaner such that rotating the cap will not rotate the lock assembly.

  • Patent number: 7234204
Abstract: A pivotal hinge mechanism for a mobile computer may include a swivel seat, a support seat, and first and second pivot mounting parts. The swivel seat and the support seat cooperate to form a pivot joint that allows the swivel seat to swivel through 180 degrees with respect to the support seat. The first and second pivot mounting parts swivel about an axis that is perpendicular to the axis of the swivel seat's rotation.

  • Patent number: 7216900
Abstract: A fastener module for portable computers that is disposed on the host of a portable computer to fasten the LCD with the host, no matter whether the LCD is closed directly or after rotating 180 degrees; the fastener module has a pivotable eccentric hook rod biased in a normal horizontal position when not affected by magnetic effect, when the LCD closes on the host of the computer, both sides of the hook rod are affected by the magnetic effect of the magnetic component on the LCD; since the pivot of the hook rod is designed eccentrically, the magnetic moment generated by the magnetic effect for each side of the hook rod is different, so that the hook rod changes its position instantly from the normal horizontal state to a vertical state and hooks within the opening of the LCD to fasten the LCD onto the host of the portable computer.

  • Patent number: 7159279
Abstract: An improved pivotal hinge mechanism used for portable computer equipped with a stopper device which when portable computer and a docking station are joined together shall be actuated by the docking station to prevent the LCD of the portable computer from rotating in left and right direction, so that the collision happened between the docking station and the LCD of the portable computer due to rotation of the LCD relative to the computer mainframe shall be avoided; when the portable computer is disconnected from the docking station said stopper device shall immediately return to the normal position so that the LCD of the portable computer can rotate again in an angle of 0–180 degrees in left and right direction with respect to the computer mainframe.
