    Abstract: A carrier tracking system is applied to a predetermined space. Carriers with optical recognizable marks are operating in the predetermined space, in which each of the optical recognizable mark is associated with information of materials carried by the carrier. The carrier tracking system includes at least one optical capturing device and a computing unit. The at least one optical capturing device is configured to capture images of the predetermined space. The computing unit is configured to determine an optical recognized coordinate of the optical recognizable mark in the images. The computing unit converts the optical recognized coordinate to a real-space coordinate in the predetermined space. In order to locate the carrier, the computing unit further associates the real-space coordinate with the information of materials carried by the carrier.

    Abstract: A search engine identifies external data records that describe similar entities and may each conform to a different data format or source schema. The engine derives mappings capable of translating data values between differently formatted attributes of two source schemas and uses these mappings to identify degrees of similarity between attributes and schemas. When the search engine receives a search request, the engine translates submitted search criteria into values of a first schema's attributes and then uses the mappings to map those values onto selected attributes of other schemas. The search engine then uses each schema's selected attributes to select external data records formatted in that schema. Each selected record is assigned a match score that is weighted by the similarity of the record schema's selected attributes to the search criteria. Records are then retrieved in order of decreasing match score.

    Abstract: Envelope tracking can be employed to reduce power consumption of a power amplifier, but envelope tracking can introduce nonlinearities to a power amplifier. These nonlinearities can manifest themselves as noise at the output of the power amplifier. Embodiments described herein provide techniques for characterizing a parameter indicative of power amplifier noise when envelope tracking is employed. Measurement of this parameter can permit power amplifier designers to decide whether to forgo envelope tracking if a power amplifier is too susceptible to such noise, redesign the power amplifier to improve compatibility with envelope tracking, or to employ distortion compensation circuitry to reduce the noise output by the power amplifier. Counterintuitively, this distortion compensation circuitry may involve increasing the power, such as the envelope tracking power supply. However, increasing the power may be a desirable trade-off for increased linearity.
