Abstract: A power-saving audio/video control device determines whether to power on/off a public broadcasting system according to a connecting status of a multimedia device through a power-saving control. The multimedia device provides an audio/video signal to be played by the public broadcasting system. The multimedia device includes an input module, a detection unit and a control unit. The audio/video control device plugs and installs the multimedia device directly, and the detection unit detects whether the input module is connected to the multimedia device, so that the control unit controls the power ON/OFF of the public broadcasting system and selects a source port automatically to achieve the effects of providing a plug and play function, turning on or off the power automatically, saving energy, reducing the labor cost, enhancing the service life, automatically switching the audio/video, and providing a convenient operation.

The video recommendation system has: an interaction device configured to receive feedback information of a video from a user, wherein the videos are composed of a plurality of video segments; a feature calculating module configured to calculate object features of at least a first video segment corresponding to the feedback information in the plurality of video segments; and an analysis module configured to recommend at least one first recommended video segment to the user from the plurality of video segments according to the calculated object features and the feedback information.

A stepped surface is formed between the enlarged-diameter segment and the reduced-diameter segment. The tool adapter defines therein a channel and has a combining end. The combining end has a conical surface configured to be received in the tapered segment. The bolt includes a screw and a nut. The nut is configured to abut against the stepped surface while the screw extends into the tapered segment to engage with the combining end. By screwing the bolt, the conical surface is driven to press against the tapered segment, making the through hole and the channel coaxial.

The boundary of the second semiconductor layer does not exceed that of the gate. At least one first conductive plug penetrates through the first and second dielectric layers and contacts one doped region of the first semiconductor layer. At least one contact contacts the second semiconductor layer. A method of forming a semiconductor device is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention provides a structure and method for widget personalization and widget interaction, wherein user preference keys and user preference values are generated according to user profiles and binding configurations of a plurality of widgets, and wherein the keys and values of a widget are added to URL of the widget, whereby a personalized widget is attained after the widget is reloaded. The setting data of a widget, including a plurality of element values, are stored in a document object model (DOM). When relativities exist between widgets, the related element values are transferred from one widget to other widgets through a transfer module to replace the element values in DOM of the other widgets and update the other widgets.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method for establishing TCP connection according to NAT (Network Address Translation) behaviors, which is applied to a network system having a NBA (NAT Behavior Aware Server) located in the Internet and connected to two NATs in two private networks respectively. The method enables two network devices in the respective private networks to send testing messages to the NBA via the respective NATs. In response, the NBA sends reply messages to each network device to test the behaviors of the NATs respectively. Afterward, each network device generates a test result message according to each behavior of the corresponding NAT and sends the same to the NBA. Based on the test result messages, the NBA selects an optimal traversal technique from candidate traversal techniques, thereby allowing the network devices to respectively and directly traverse the NATs and establish a direct TCP connection therebetween.

Abstract: An energy-saving audio-amplifier control device is electrically connected to an amplifier for sensing an audio signal input state at a sound-source input end of the amplifier and controlling the on/off of the amplifier accordingly. The control device includes a signal detection module, a control module and a power control module. The signal detection module detects the state at the sound-source input end and generates a first signal to the control module. Based on the first signal, the control module controls the power control module to control the on/off of the amplifier. With these arrangements, it is able to automatically control the amplifier to off when the audio signal input to the amplifier is ended, and accordingly, achieve the purpose of saving energy, reducing power consumption, and minimizing loss of components.

Abstract: An energy-saving control device for remote image receiver is disclosed. The control device is electrically connected to an image receiver, and includes a detection module, a control module, and a power control module. The detection module detects a differential signal transmission state at the remote image receiver, and generates a detection signal to the control module accordingly. The control module generates a control signal according to the detection signal, so as to control the power control module to control on/off of power supply to the image receiver. With these arrangements, it is able to control the image receiver to automatically turn off when the differential signal transmission stops, so as to achieve the effects of energy saving and extended service life of the image receiver.

Abstract: An automatic video gain adjustment method in which an automatic gain equalizer is used. The method includes steps of: using a processor to read and analyze a video signal and compare the video signal with a standard value to judge whether the video signal matches the standard value; using a gain regulator to automatically adjust the amplitude of the video signal in case the video signal fails to match the standard value, the gain regulator then generating an adjusted video signal; and using the processor to receive the adjusted video signal and transmit the adjusted video signal to a remote-end receiving device. By means of the automatic video gain adjustment method, the video signal can be automatically and more conveniently adjusted to match the standard value.
