    Abstract: A nozzle adjustment member for a sprinkler is revealed. A plurality of nozzle tubes aligned in at least one row is positioned on a wall of a hollow pipe. A top end of the nozzle tube is projecting to an outside of the hollow pipe. At least one pivot support is disposed on the outside of the hollow pipe. Each pivot support is pivoted with an adjustment piece having a plurality of guiding openings. The guiding openings are positioned over the plurality of nozzle tubes correspondingly. A nozzle cover is connected with the outside of the hollow pipe for covering the adjustment piece. A plurality of long through holes for mounting the corresponding nozzle tubes is arranged at the nozzle cover. Around a pivot hole, the adjustment piece swings so as to drive the plurality of nozzle tubes moving at an angle and different water distribution patterns are provided.

The devices include nanowires grown from single crystal and/or non-single surfaces. The semiconductor optical amplifiers include nanowire arrays that act as ballast lasers to amplify a signal carried by a signal waveguide. Embodiments of the nanowire lasers and photodetectors include horizontal and vertical nanowires that can provide different polarizations.

Because the emitting wavelength of the metal haloaluminate compound phosphor is 550˜650 nm which is from the green to the red light spectrum, the white light mixed by the converted light of the metal haloaluminate phosphor and the blue light has better color rendering index. Besides, this invention also discloses the optoelectronic devices comprising the metal haloaluminate compound phosphor.

    Abstract: A rotary spray nozzle for spray guns comprises a metallic outer housing and a plastic assembling element wherein the metallic outer housing has a hollow chamber disposed at one side to accommodate the plastic assembling element therein, a water-emitting port disposed at the other side to fluidly connect to the hollow chamber, and a ringed water-blocking seat protruding between the hollow chamber and the water-emitting port. The plastic assembling element also has a reverse-stop ring extending at the middle section to restrict the position of a sealing ring mounted to the water-outlet cylinder thereof, achieving anti-leaking and anti-loosing benefits as well as simplifying the structure and manufacturing process of the present invention thereby.

    Abstract: A photovoltaic structure (100), a solar cell (100, 200) and a method (300) of fabricating a solar cell (100, 200) employ a hidden electrode (122, 222, 422) on a formed (320) mesa (120, 220, 420) and a bramble (130, 230, 430) of grown (330) nanowires. The mesa includes an insulator island (121, 221, 421) adjacent to a surface of the substrate (110, 210, 410) and the hidden electrode buried under a seed layer on the insulator island. One end of some of the nanowires (134, 234) is anchored to the seed layer (124, 224, 424) of the mesa. One end of others of the nanowires (132, 232) is anchored to a seed layer (114, 214, 414) formed (310) on the substrate adjacent to the mesa. The seed layers independently are an extrinsic semiconductor. A semiconductor junction includes the seed layers and some of the nanowires of the bramble.

In one embodiment of the present invention, a photonic switch comprises: a waveguide configured to guide electromagnetic waves; a number of holes in the waveguide that prevent propagation of the electromagnetic waves beyond the holes; a reservoir located beneath the holes and filled with a liquid having the same refractive index as the photonic crystal; and a device for forcing the liquid into the holes so that the refractive index of the holes matches approximately the refractive index of the waveguide and the electromagnetic waves can propagate within the waveguide beyond the holes.

An area of the thyristor is configured to receive a light beam to be directed through at least one of the plurality of layers and exit the thyristor at a predetermined angle. At least two electrodes are coupled to the thyristor and configured to enable a voltage to be applied to facilitate carriers from the outer doped layer to be directed to the switching layer. Sufficient carriers can be directed to the switching layer to provide a change in refractive index of the switching layer to redirect at least a portion of the light beam to exit the thyristor at a deflection angle different from the predetermined angle.
