  • Publication number: 20150079539
Abstract: A dental mixing device with a barrel, a mixing tip, and a plunger. The plunger moves dental material through the barrel where it is mixed using a mixing tip. The mixing tip includes an auto-aligning fitting female element configured to align with an auto-aligning fitting male element of the barrel. This auto-alignment simplifies the attachment between the mixing tip and the barrel. The mixing tip also includes a seal component with a soft material (or component) to insert into the auto-aligning fitting element which is a hard material (or component) to achieve seal. The seal component and auto-alignment fitting element can be combined together into one component instead of two components.

  • Patent number: 8980651
Abstract: A multi-patterning method of manufacturing a patterned wafer provides test structures designed to enhance overlay error measurement sensitivity for monitoring and process control. One or more patterns are overlaid on a first pattern, each of a given pitch, with the elements interleaved. Test structure is formed with elements of the overlaid patterns spaced away from respective mid-positions more closely toward elements of the first pattern. In some embodiments, test structure elements of the second pattern are overlaid midway between mid-positions of elements of the first pattern and measured by scatterometry. In other embodiments, test structure elements of the second pattern are overlaid at a slightly different pitch than the elements of the first pattern and measured by reflectivity. Measurements are compared with library measurements to identify the error, which may be fed back to control the patterning process. The multi-patterning may be formed by LELE, LLE, LFLE, or other methods.

  • Patent number: 8984468
Abstract: Using an adaptive square mesh for parasitic extraction, small squares of a predetermined minimum size will be placed where accuracy in the parasitic calculations is most critical—around edges, contacts and vias, and corners. Then, in areas where the parasitic analysis is less critical, for example in open spaces, a more coarse grid consisting of larger squares may be used to calculate the parasitic values in those spaces. Squares in the mesh may increase in size gradually to provide more accurate results.

  • Publication number: 20150068203
Abstract: A method is disclosed for controlling a two-stage turbocharger system having low-pressure and high-pressure turbochargers in line, sequentially, with an engine. The turbochargers include a low-pressure (LP) turbine and an LP compressor, and a high-pressure (HP) turbine and an HP compressor. The LP compressor feeds the HP compressor, which feeds the engine intake. The engine exhaust feeds the HP turbine, which feeds the LP turbine. The method determines a total boost pressure, which provides combustion reactant for the engine. The method calculates an LP compressor power from the determined total boost pressure, and an LP turbine flow from the LP compressor power. The low-pressure turbocharger operates at the calculated LP turbine flow. The method calculates an HP compressor power from the determined total boost pressure, and an HP turbine flow from the HP compressor power. The high-pressure turbocharger operates at the calculated HP turbine flow.

  • Patent number: 8976344
Abstract: A live fiber identifier tool includes a head portion having a slot. A cable containing a pair of optical fibers can be inserted in the slot and forced to bend inside the head portion when a trigger is operated. Any light signal in a given fiber partially leaks from the fiber and exits the cable bend. Two photo detectors are located so that one of the detectors receives more light from the cable bend than the other detector depending on the signal direction in the given fiber. Processing components coupled to the detectors and the indicator define a threshold factor that corresponds to a determined difference between the outputs of the detectors. If the difference between the detector outputs does not exceed the threshold factor, an indicator on the tool reports that light signals are traveling in the pair of optical fibers in opposite directions along the cable.
