    Abstract: A method and apparatus are for abnormality detection. The method includes: acquiring an estimated value of a movement parameter of a mobile platform of a parallel robot. The estimated value is calculated based on sensing information about a sensor mounted on the mobile platform. Based on the estimated value and a designated value of the movement parameter, the method includes determining whether an abnormality occurs in the parallel robot. By way of the method and apparatus, abnormality of a parallel robot can be detected reliably.

    Abstract: An anomaly detection method and system for a process instrument, and a storage medium are disclosed. The method includes that: a programmable logic controller (PLC) receives measurement data of a process instrument, the measurement data being periodically stored into a historical database so that a service providing system can perform reading and evaluation. At least one virtual function module is integrated on the PLC, a mapping relation is formed between at least one input channel of each virtual function module and output of at least one anomaly diagnosis algorithm disposed on the service providing system, and each anomaly diagnosis algorithm is used for diagnosing whether an anomaly exists in the process instrument. When an anomaly indication outputted by the service providing system is received via an input channel of the virtual function module, the PLC determines that an anomaly exists in the corresponding process instrument.

The ranks of news feed stories for a user are determined based on a likelihood that the user would find the story interesting.

    Abstract: Photonic Resonator Outcoupler Microscopy (PROM) is a novel, label-free approach for dynamic, long-term, quantitative imaging of a sample on a surface of a photonic crystal (PC) biosensor, in which components of the sample outcouple photons from the resonant evanescent field, resulting in highly localized reductions of the reflected light intensity. By mapping changes in the resonant reflected peak intensity from the PC surface, components of a sample (e.g., focal adhesions) can be detected and dynamically tracked. To demonstrate the simplicity and utility of PROM for focal adhesion imaging, PROM images are compared with biosensor images of surface-bound dielectric permittivity and with fluorescence microscopy images of labeled adhesion molecules in dental stem cells. PROM can dynamically quantify the surface-attached cellular mass density and lateral dimensions of focal adhesion clusters.

    Abstract: A digital assay for a micro RNA (miRNA) or other target analyte in a sample makes use of nanoparticles that absorb light at the resonant wavelength of a photonic crystal (PC). Such nanoparticles locally quench the resonant reflection of light from the PC when present on the surface of the PC. The nanoparticles are functionalized to specifically bind to the target analyte, and the PC surface is functionalized to specifically bind to the nanoparticles that have bound to the target analyte. The sample is exposed to the functionalized nanoparticles, and the individual nanoparticles bound to the PC surface can be identified and counted based on reduced intensity values in the reflected light from the PC. The number of bound nanoparticles that are counted in this way can be correlated to the abundance of the target analyte in the sample.

    Abstract: A current transformer and a direct current source based on a current transformer are disclosed. In an embodiment, the current transformer includes two output ends; a first winding and a second winding connected in series between the two output ends; a main core; a bypass core, arranged to be magnetically coupled with the main core. The first winding is wound on a part of the main core and a part of the bypass core, and the second winding is wound on apart of the bypass core. In an embodiment, the current transformer also includes a high-frequency bypass, connected in parallel with the first winding, and used to filter a high-frequency signal. The high-frequency bypass provides a low-impedance path for a high-frequency signal in a primary conductor under measurement, such that the bypass core with the second winding presents less obstruction to the main core, thereby reducing heating.
