    Abstract: The present invention relates to a signal processing apparatus and a signal processing method, an encoder and an encoding method, a decoder and a decoding method, and a program capable of reproducing music signal having a better sound quality by expansion of frequency band. A sampling frequency conversion unit converts a sampling frequency of an input signal, and a sub-band division circuit divides the input signal after the sampling conversion into sub-band signals of sub-bands having the number corresponding to the sampling frequency. A pseudo high band sub-band power calculation circuit calculates pseudo high band sub-band powers based on low band signals of the input signal and coefficient tables having coefficients for the respective high band sub-bands. A pseudo high band sub-band power difference calculation circuit compares high band sub-band powers and the pseudo high band sub-band powers to each other and selects a coefficient table from plural coefficient tables.

    Abstract: The present technique relates to a sound field reproduction device, a sound field reproduction method, and a program that make it possible to further accurately reproduce a certain sound field. A feature amount extraction unit extracts a main sound source feature amount from a sound pickup signal obtained by picking up a sound from a main sound source. A main sound source separation unit separates the sound pickup signal obtained through the sound pickup with a microphone array that mainly picks up a sound from the main sound source into a main sound source component and an auxiliary sound source component using the main sound source feature amount. On the basis of the main sound source component and the auxiliary sound source component that have been separated, a main sound source emphasis unit generates a signal in which the main sound source components are emphasized. A drive signal for a speaker array is generated from the signal generated in this manner and supplied to the speaker array.

A spacial filter application unit obtains a virtual speaker array drive signal of an annular virtual speaker array with a radius larger than a radius of a spherical microphone array, by applying a spacial filter to a spacial frequency spectrum of a sound collection signal obtained by having the spherical microphone array collect sounds. An inverse filter generation unit obtains an inverse filter based on a transfer function from a real speaker array up to the virtual speaker array. An inverse filter application unit applies the inverse filter to a time frequency spectrum of the virtual speaker array drive signal, and obtains a real speaker array drive signal of the real speaker array. The present technology can be applied to a sound field reproduction device.
