  • Publication number: 20110148175
Abstract: To achieve weight reduction while providing elasticity sufficient in a cushioning member for a vehicle seat, an elastic member made of expanded resin beads includes an elastic covering material having stretching properties stuck to an outer face of an expanded bead body. Therefore, when the elastic member made of expanded resin beads is bent or compressed, the respective beads themselves configuring the expanded bead body are elastically deformed according to stretching or compressing of the elastic covering material, and since the elastic deformation is not such deformation that a gap between beads of the expanded bead body largely expands, a crack occurring between beads or permanent deformation does not occur so that bending or compressing becomes possible. Accordingly, the elastic member made of expanded resin beads is suitable as a cushioning member utilizing an elastic recovering force in a bending direction and a thickness direction thereof.

  • Publication number: 20100325866
Abstract: To efficiently assemble or manufacture a belt by fastening a plurality of elements in a circular manner using a ring. A belt assembling device is adapted to assemble a belt by fastening a plurality of plate-like elements juxtaposed in a same orientation and in a circular manner using a ring. The belt assembling device includes a holding member. The holding member holds the ring to which the elements are attached sequentially, in a manner to keep a curvature radius of the ring partially larger than that of the remaining portion. Therefore, the portion of the ring at which the curvature radius is thus kept larger can be twisted and deformed easily so that the element can be attached to the ring at the portion.

  • Publication number: 20100210413
Abstract: A shift controller for an automatic transmission mechanism is configured such that when the engine is in a driven state in which the engine is driven by a travel inertia force or the like and an accumulated pressure amount of the accumulator is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold, the excessive engine brake force, which is generated due to the accumulation of at least a portion of the hydraulic pressure generated from the mechanical hydraulic pump in the accumulator, is inhibited or reduced by conducting upshifting that relatively decreases the gear ratio of the automatic transmission mechanism. Therefore, the generation of the excessive engine brake force can be inhibited or reduced even when the engine is in the driven state and pressure accumulation is performed.

  • Patent number: 7074160
Abstract: A control device for a drive line of a vehicle, in which a drive line from a power source to drive wheel includes a wheel control for controlling the speed of the wheels, and a connection mechanism for increasing/decreasing a torque transmission capacity between the power source and the drive wheels. The control device includes a trouble detector for detecting that the wheel control is in a situation unable to control the speed of the wheels normally. A braking detector detects that a braking operation to brake the rotation of the wheels is executed. And, a torque interruption control reduces the torque transmission capacity by the connection mechanism, when it is detected by the trouble detector that the wheel control cannot control the speed of the wheels normally and when it is detected by the braking detector that the braking operation to brake the rotation of the wheels is executed.

  • Patent number: 6602163
Abstract: When the temperature of operating fluid of an actuator is low, a target input rotation speed lower limit value (NinL) is set. The lower limit value (NinL) is greater than a lower limit value set for a normal temperature of operating fluid. A target input rotation speed (Nint) is calculated from the state of running of a vehicle, such as the amount of operation of an accelerator, the vehicle speed, etc. If the target input rotation speed is lower than the lower limit value (NinL), the target input rotation speed is reset to the lower limit value (NinL). As a result of a control that includes the above-described steps, the speed ratio &ggr; becomes relatively high before the vehicle stops. Therefore, even if the speed ratio-changing rate is low, the speed ratio (&ggr;) can be brought to or near a maximum value (&ggr;max) before the vehicle stops. Thus, reductions in the speed ratio-changing rate caused by low temperature of the operating fluid of the actuator can be curbed.

  • Patent number: 6570667
Abstract: PCMCIA slots are provided to a printer. When a fax modem card is mounted in the PCMCIA slot, a variety of settings are performed to enable the printer to execute a fax function in addition to its original printing function. More specifically, a fax data area is secured in a memory region. Then, fax control interrupt routine operation, fax panel display, and fax command reception are enabled. Contrarily, when no fax modem card is mounted in the PCMCIA slot, the memory region is used entirely for storing print data. Settings of wasteful functions, such as the fax control interrupt operations, which can lead to system errors are not performed.

  • Patent number: 6512599
Abstract: The fax transmission routine is started in S410 when a fax entering command is transmitted from the personal computer. The fax transmission data is stored in S440 to S490. Once a data operation command, such as a print command, a send command, and a deletion command, are inputted, then corresponding operations are executed in S500 to S570. The print command is included in the data operation commands. Also the fax transmission data is deleted only after a deletion command is received. Therefore, whether or not the fax transmission data has been properly converted into a fax format can be confirmed before the fax transmission data is transmitted to a remote device. Also, a printed copy of the facsimile message can be obtained based on the fax transmission data. There is no need to retransmit the data in order to obtain the fax copy.

  • Patent number: 6459978
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling a continuously variable transmission of a motor vehicle includes a controller that controls the speed ratio of the continuously variable transmission in accordance with a predetermined shift condition. The method and apparatus perform shift control in a specific manner during an operation of an anti-lock brake system, for example, by smoothing at least one of the rotational speed of the input shaft and the rotational speed of the output shaft, reducing a rate of change in the speed ratio during down shifting, restricting upshifting of the CVT, increasing an amount of hydraulic oil delivered from an oil pump, and/or increasing belt clamping force.

  • Patent number: 6432024
Abstract: A shift control apparatus for a motor vehicle including an internal combustion engine and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is provided for controlling the speed ratio of the CVT depending upon operating conditions of the vehicle. The control apparatus determines whether an electronic throttle valve of the engine is at fault or not, and restricts the speed ratio of the CVT when the throttle valve is at fault such that the input-side rotation speed of the transmission is variable within a range that is narrower than a range in which the rotation speed is variable during normal running of the vehicle. The range of the input-side rotation speed may be defined by the upper limit, or the lower limit, or both the upper limit and the lower limit.

  • Patent number: 6405115
Abstract: A shift control system for a continuously variable transmission, in which a road load on a vehicle is detected, the lower limit speed is set according to the detected road load, in which a target input speed, as set according to the running state of a vehicle, is restricted with the set lower limit speed, and in which the gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission is controlled so that the actual input speed may be equal to the target input speed restricted. The target input speed is restricted after the actual input speed is more than the lower limit value, when the road load is light, and said target input speed is restricted irrespective of the actual input speed when the road load is heavy.

  • Patent number: 6345221
Abstract: A control apparatus is provided in a vehicle equipped with a power source and a continuously variable transmission. The continuously variable transmission is connected to the power source. The control apparatus includes a target power determinator, a target revolutions determinator, a determining device, a setting device and a target torque determinator. The target power determinator determines a target power of the power source. The target revolutions determinator determines target revolutions on the basis of the target power. The determining device determines whether the vehicle is a transient driving condition or not. The setting device sets the target revolutions as setting revolutions when the determining device determines that the vehicle is not in the transient driving condition. The setting device sets revolutions different from the target revolutions as the setting revolutions when the determining device determines that the vehicle is in a transient driving condition.
