  • Publication number: 20060119262
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a light-emitting element that has fewer defects in operation due to crystallization of a layer included in the light-emitting element. A light-emitting element according to the present invention has a layer including a metal oxide and a compound that exhibits an electron donating property to the metal oxide. This layer has a first region and a second region. The metal oxide included in the first region has a higher concentration than the metal oxide included in the second region. The first region and the second regions are provided alternately and repeatedly. Each of the first region and the second region has a distance of 0.1 nm or more and 10 nm or less, more preferably 1 nm or more and 5 nm or less, in a thickness direction of the layer.

  • Patent number: 5995344
Abstract: A disc cartridge having a disc for recording information signals and a main cartridge body member for rotatably housing the disc. The disc cartridge is designed to be loaded on a recording and/or reproducing apparatus. The main cartridge body member has, on its one surface, a label area for bonding a display label indicating the recording contents of the information signals, while having, on its other surface, a spindle hole for rotating the disc by the recording and/or reproducing apparatus. The main cartridge body member has a design parameter discriminating hole extending along the back side opposite to the front side in the cartridge inserting direction. The recording capacity or design parameters of the disc housed within the main cartridge body member may be discriminated by detecting the design parameter discriminating hole.

  • Patent number: 5739993
Abstract: A disk cartridge for data storage or the like includes a cartridge casing having a disk formed as a data storage medium rotatably mounted therein. The cartridge casing includes an opening defined therethrough for allowing access to the rotatable disk. A substantially U-shaped metallic shutter is slidably disposed on the cartridge casing to as to cover and uncover the access opening according to sliding movement thereof. The metallic shutter is formed by bending processing of a metallic plate material, such as aluminium to form a substantially U-shaped shutter body having a display surface portion defined on an outer side thereof. The display portion is formed by pressing and deforming a selected area of the outer side of the shutter body and forming thereon a matt display area having a surface roughness greater than other surface portions of the shutter body.
