  • Patent number: 5177797
Abstract: An image data coding system, wherein an image data in a bit map form is divided into first and second groups, pixels in each group of which are distributed over the whole area of the image data in the bit map form. First and second coders respectively code the first and second groups of image data into first and second groups of coded image data. The first and second groups of image data in the original image data are respectively input into first and second memories, respectively. Blocks of the first group of image data are supplied to the first coder at first times, respectively, and blocks of the second group of image data are supplied to the second coder at second times, respectively. Boundaries of the blocks in the first group of image data are located in different positions from boundaries of the blocks in the second group of image data, and the first times are different from the second times.

  • Patent number: 5092196
Abstract: A gear mechanism has a plurality of gears provided on a shaft and is housed in a housing. Oil is filled into a lower part of the housing. The bottom of the housing is raised to conform to the contour of the gears and an oil return passage in the form of a groove extending in the direction of the row of the gears is formed in the bottom surface of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4906073
Abstract: In a liquid crystal display device, light transmitting through a liquid crystal layer is colored depending on the structural conditions of the liquid crystal display device. The phase of the transmission light is corrected by means of a phase correction plate to make the transmission light approximate achromatic color, thereby permitting monochromatic display or color display.

  • Patent number: 4838655
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a projector having an arrangement of polarizers and liquid crystal cells aligned on the axis of light in the order a first color polarizer colored in red, a first twisted nematic liquid crystal cell, a second twisted nematic liquid crystal cell, a second color polarizer colored in a green, a third twisted nematic liquid, a neutral polarizer and Guest-Host type colored in blue. Since, according to this, a polarizer having inferior color characteristics can be replaced by a Guest-Host type liquid crystal cell, the excitation purity and the scope of color reproduction are improved. Further, since the mixture of color is additive, the brightness of the reproduced color is also much improved.

  • Patent number: 4305492
Abstract: A clutch release device for use in combination with a clutch having a declutching member that is rotatable about the axis of the clutch comprising a fixed cylindrical guide having an axis substantially coaxial with the axis of the clutch but subject to misalignment with respect thereto, and a sleeve which surrounds the guide and is slidable therealong. The sleeve is provided with an end section that extends radially outward from the sleeve. An inner ring surrounds the sleeve and is spaced radially therefrom, the inner ring also being spaced axially from the radially extending end member of the sleeve and having a driving element attached to the end opposite the end section of the sleeve for engagement with the declutching member.

  • Patent number: 4061557
Abstract: An assembly of electrodes suitably for use in electrochemical processes, comprising a plurality of elongated conductive elements as electrodes arranged substantially in parallel in a vertical plane and spaced apart from each other. At least one elongated non-conductive element is interposed between every two adjacent conductive elements. Preferably, both the conductive and non-conductive elements are flexible and the assembly comprises a base fabric of non-conductive material and a plurality of conductive elements incorporated in said base fabric.
