  • Publication number: 20030199607
Abstract: Polyamide resin compositions suitable for molded articles comprising polyamide, thermoplastic polyphenol, and of carbon fiber are disclosed. These may optionally include aramid fiber and zinc oxide whisker. Such compositions show remarkable shielding performance when subjected to electromagnetic fields, and with outstanding control of warpage and toughness.

  • Patent number: 5539050
Abstract: A polyphenylene ether thermoplastic resin composition excellent in impact resistance, particularly surface impact strength, which comprises a blend of: 95 to 5 parts by weight of a mixture of:(A) 1 to 100% by weight of a polyphenylene ether resin and(B) 0 to 99% by weight of an alkenyl aromatic resin, with(C) 5 to 95 parts by weight of a graft copolymer obtained by graft-copolymerizing (a) an alkenyl aromatic compound and, if necessary, (b) other unsaturated monomer onto (c) an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber having a ratio (Q value) of weight average molecular weight/number average molecular weight as measured by GPC of 4.0 or less and having a Mooney viscosity at 121.degree. C. of 40 or more, in which graft copolymer the weight ratio of (a) the alkenyl aromatic compound/(b) the other unsaturated monomer/(c) the ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber is 20-80/0-18.
