  • Patent number: 8441570
Abstract: An image pickup apparatus and a lens apparatus capable of photographing high-grade still images even where an interlace type image pickup element is used are to be provided. When an instruction to photograph a still image is entered, a camera microcomputer generates a timing to intercept light coming incident on a lens according to the aperture value of an iris, and transmits this timing to a lens microcomputer. The lens microcomputer supplies a control signal to an aperture control circuit according to the received timing, and a mechanical shutter is caused to operate as the aperture control circuit closes the iris at high speed.

  • Patent number: 7633546
Abstract: An image capture apparatus can immediately start image recording capable of preventing the deterioration of image quality, even when brightness of an object immediately after the activation of a power source is higher than a reference value. A filter control circuit automatically inserts a filter for reducing the transmitting light amount of an image capture optical system into the optical path of the optical system regardless of the state of a switch for inserting or withdrawing the filter, when the brightness of the object is higher than the reference value immediately after the activation of the power source. Moreover, the filer control circuit automatically withdraws the filter from the optical path regardless of the state of the switch, when the brightness of the object is lower than the reference value immediately after the activation of the power source.

  • Patent number: 7488020
Abstract: A workpiece-gripping chuck includes a converting mechanism provided in a body, which converts a driving force from a rotary driving source into a displacement in the axial direction. First and second pistons of the converting mechanism are displaced in the axial direction under a rotary action of a pinion gear. Further, the first and second pistons are displaced in the axial direction, respectively, by supplying a pressure fluid from a first or second port formed in the body. A workpiece may be positioned by means of a pair of gripping members under the driving action of the rotary driving source, and the workpiece is further gripped by the gripping members by applying a pressing force of the pressure fluid in addition to the driving force.

  • Publication number: 20060175095
Abstract: In a boring machine, rotation of a motor is transferred to a pipe spindle and a shaft, a cutting edge feeding mechanism arranged side by side with the pipe spindle moves the shaft toward a workpiece and a cutting edge attached to an end of the shaft drills a hole in the workpiece. The cutting edge feeding mechanism slidably but non-rotatably supports a chain holder around an outer circumference of the pipe spindle. A sprocket wrapped around by a chain is rotated by a handle to move the shaft. The radius of rotation of the handle is reduced to slowly move the shaft. The maximum torque of the motor rotating the shaft is controlled. The number of cutting edges falls within a range from six to eight.
