  • Publication number: 20100156346
Abstract: A resonance type non-contact charging apparatus is disclosed. A charger of the apparatus receives the high frequency power from a secondary side resonance coil of the apparatus. A power ratio detecting section of the apparatus detects the ratio of the reflected power from a primary side resonance coil to the high frequency power source with respect to the output power from the high frequency power source to the primary side resonance coil. A stop control section of the apparatus stops the high frequency power source when the ratio detected by the power ratio detecting section becomes greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20100140507
Abstract: Even in a case where a spark is generated in an electron beam irradiation device 28, all the vessels 2 now being conveyed are surely sterilized by the irradiation with the electron beam. The electron beam is emitted by heating filaments 42 arranged in a vacuum chamber 40, and the vessels 2 are irradiated with the electron beam taken out into atmosphere through a window foil 48 of an irradiation window 46 formed to an irradiation section 44. The vessels 2 are conveyed in a state of being held by vessel holding portions 36A and 36B of a vessel conveying device 24 and pass in front of the irradiation window 46. Although the electron beam irradiation is temporarily interrupted when a spark is generated, a length of the irradiation window 46 in a vessel conveying direction X is made larger than a vessel conveying distance in an interruption time.

  • Publication number: 20100132307
Abstract: Atmosphere in a sterilization box 18 is prevented from entering into a filler chamber 44 side, and also, atmosphere on the filler side is prevented from flowing on the sterilization box 18 side. An intermediate chamber 40 is disposed between the sterilization box 18 for performing sterilization by electron beam irradiation to a vessel 2 and the chamber 44 in which a filler 42 is disposed for filling the sterilized vessel 2 with inner content. A pressure in the intermediate chamber 40 is controlled, by pressure control means, so as to be higher than a pressure in the sterilization box 18 and higher than a pressure in the chamber 44 provided with the filler 42. Since the pressure in the intermediate chamber 40 is highest, atmosphere in the upstream-side sterilization box 18 is prevented from flowing in the filler 42 side and atmosphere in the chamber 44 for the filler 42 is also prevented from flowing in the sterilization box 18 side.

  • Publication number: 20100072395
Abstract: Nitrogen oxide generated in an irradiation chamber 30 by electron beam irradiation is suppressed from being changed to nitric acid. An irradiation surface (irradiation window 29a to which a window foil 29b is attached) of an electron beam irradiation device 28 is directed toward a vessel 2 conveyed by a vessel conveying device 24 to thereby irradiate the vessel 2 with the electron beam to sterilize the vessel, an irradiation chamber 30 is provided so as to surround the irradiation surface of the electron beam irradiation device 28 and the vessel 2 subjected to the irradiation, a discharge chamber 32 is provided on an outlet side of the irradiation chamber 30, and dry-air supply means 80 for supplying a dried aseptic air is connected to the irradiation chamber 30. By removing moisture within the irradiation chamber 30 which is irradiated with the electron beam, the changing of the nitrogen oxide to the nitric acid is suppressed to thereby prevent metal portions from corroding.

  • Publication number: 20100061831
Abstract: When a bottle 4 made of resin is irradiated with an electron beam while it is being held by a gripper 2, an area of the bottle 4 which is shielded from the electron beam by the gripper 2 is minimized. The gripper has a pair of supports 22A, 22B positioned on opposite sides of the bottle made of resin, and abutments 24A, 24B disposed respectively on the supports 22A, 22B for holding the bottle 4 made of resin, each of the abutments 24A, 24B comprising two thin plates 26A, 28A, 26B, 28B which are vertically spaced from each other. The abutments 24A, 24B hold the bottle 4 by gripping a neck 4a of the bottle 4 on its opposite sides. While holding the bottle 4, the supports 22A, 22B are held out of contact with an outer surface of the bottle 4, allowing the electron beam to travel around the neck 4a to sterilize the entire surface of the bottle 4.
