  • Patent number: 8605593
Abstract: A transport control server coupled to a plurality of nodes in a network through which a plurality of traffics passes through is provided. The transport control server is configured to receive bandwidth information from each of the nodes when the traffics pass through the nodes. For each of the traffics, the transport control server calculates bandwidths at an entry edge node and at an exit edge node based on the received bandwidth information. The transport control server defines as a first traffic, based on the calculated bandwidths at the entry edge node and the exit edge node, a traffic having a discarded bandwidth that is larger than a first predetermined bandwidth. Also, the transport control server defines as a second traffic, based on the received bandwidth information, a first traffic having a bandwidth at the two or more nodes that exceeds a specified second bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 8437345
Abstract: (Problems) By assigning a fixed home address to an MN, Mobile IPv6 assures the arrival of each content at the MN 1. In order to allow the user to receive a Mobile IPv6 service, it is necessary to provide the MN 1 with a Mobile IPv6 function for making applications conform to IPv6. However, there are only few such MNs 1. In addition, the MN 1 does not have a function for implementing an IPsec process repeatedly on a packet transmitted to and received from another apparatus. (technical solution) A scenario processing port 23 employed in the MN 1 includes a means, which is used for selecting a process according to a communication method and carrying out the selected process when a response to a Mobile IPv6 location registration message is received. By providing the scenario processing port 23 with a means for selecting a communication method, a function can be added to the MN 1 with ease.

  • Patent number: 8438215
Abstract: In a cache control assuming plural user terminals accessing identical content, cache delete priority assignment is performed from a position where a user finished playback based on whether the user intends to view the content later. A cache control server is provided, and a cache delete inhibit span is determined based on a playback stop position or a normal speed playback time. A cache server deletes the cache based on the delete inhibit span received from the cache control server. Traffic of the core network due to re-cache can thus be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20120069739
Abstract: There is a need to extract a traffic related to congestion in consideration of an entire network. Multiple traffics are received from multiple nodes. There is available information about bandwidths for the traffics passing through nodes. Bandwidths for the traffics at an entry node and an exit node are extracted from the bandwidth information. Each traffic first passes through the entry node and last passes through the exit node. A bandwidth is dropped when the traffic passes through the nodes. The dropped bandwidth is calculated based on the extracted bandwidths for the traffics at the entry node and the exit node. The calculated bandwidth to be dropped is compared with a specified first bandwidth. One or more first traffics are extracted because of having the dropped bandwidth larger than the first bandwidth. Based on band information, a second traffic is extracted from the extracted first traffic.

  • Patent number: 7941563
Abstract: A packet sent in a mobile IP communication between different regions passes through a particular address translation unit, so that the communication route cannot be optimized. The packet cannot be delivered to a mobile node not having a fixed home address. To overcome the difficulties, the address translation unit includes a function to process the mobile IPv6 protocol. The mobile node includes a function to dynamically acquire a home address. A first network and a second network each identify the mobile node by a SIP (session initiation protocol) identifier. The mobile node acquires a home address on the second network and registers a corresponding relation between the identifiers and the home address thereof. A terminal on the second network acquires the home address of the mobile node from information of the mobile node registered to the SIP server according to a SIP procedure.

  • Publication number: 20110107156
Abstract: A computer receives one or more processing requests from at least one or more clients through a network and executes an application for processing the received processing requests using a Java servlet. The processing requests each contain one or more addresses as the destinations of the processing requests. The computer is connected to a database including the following information: application information in which an identifier that uniquely identifies each application and binary logic for executing the application are brought into correspondence with each other; and adapter information in which the identifier and each of the addresses are brought into correspondence with each other. When the computer receives the processing request, it identifies the binary logic based on an address contained in the received processing request and executes the identified binary logic and thereby executes the application.

  • Patent number: 7936761
Abstract: Mobile IPv6 guarantees reachability of a MN by giving the home address (HoA) to the MN. A Mobile-IPv6-compliant application of the MN performs communication without using a Care of Address (CoA), and therefore does not notify the CoA to other communication equipment. For this reason, a PDSN can provide QoS control using HoA of the MN, but cannot provide QoS control using the address (CoA) of a visited network of the MN. A QoS control function of the PDSN has means of acquiring Binding information of the MN (correspondence information between HoA and CoA), and notifying it to a PDF. The PDF transmits QoS parameters that contain the CoA of the MN to the PDSN by referring to the Binding information. By this configuration, it becomes possible for the PDSN to perform QoS control using the CoA of the MN.

  • Patent number: 7805605
Abstract: Information on whether a prefix is distributable to a MN is held by a CA. The server section of the HA allots prefix information to a MN approved by the CA. When the server section of the HA receives an IKE packet from the MN, the server section generates an IPsec SA after checking the prefix information in the server section. The server section allows an MN location registration request to fulfill the IPsec SA. The CA approves distribution of a prefix to the MN and verifies that the MN is genuine by generating an IPsec SA with the HA by utilizing the prefix distributed by the MN.
