  • Publication number: 20100202120
Abstract: In the case where a printed board is contained in a casing of an electrical junction box, and where electrical components such as relays disposed on the printed board are connected to a bus bar disposed in the casing, a heat generated in the bus bar is uniformed in the casing without causing an uneven heat distribution around the bus bar, thereby requiring no means for radiating the bus bar. An electrical junction box including a casing, a printed board contained in the casing, an insulation plate disposed on the printed board, a bus bar mounted on the insulation plate, and a relay mounted on the printed board. The bus bar is provided with an electrical power source terminal to be connected to an electrical power source side. Branched portions provided on the bus bar are connected to a conductor on the printed board, respectively. A terminal of the relay is connected to the printed board conductor connected to the branched portions of the bus bar.

  • Publication number: 20100133265
Abstract: A bracket secured to a vehicle body is firmly attached to an electrical junction box without causing any loosening. The electrical junction box includes a bracket securing section provided integrally on a casing outer surface and a bracket made of a resin molding material fixed on the bracket securing section by a bolt and a nut. Bolt holes are provided in the bracket securing section and the bracket, respectively. Positioning pins project near the bolt hole in one of the bracket securing section or the bracket. The positioning holes are provided in the other of the bracket securing and the section or bracket to receive the positioning pins. After the positioning pins are fitted in the positioning holes to position and hold the bracket on the bracket securing section, a bolt is inserted into the corresponding bolt holes and is fastened by a nut.

  • Publication number: 20100039753
Abstract: There is a concern that water on the top surface of a cover 50A will penetrate the top face of a case 20 through gaps between an opening portion 51H and parts accommodation portions 34 because the parts accommodation portions 34 are exposed to the outside at the opening portion 51H on the top face of the cover 50A while the electrical connection box P is positioned in the cover 50A. Because drainage grooves 35 and 36, which reach the drainage channels 38 on the outside face of the case 20, are formed on the top face of the case 20, water that remains on the top face of the case 20 (the main body portion 30) is reliably drained by flowing into the drainage grooves 35 and 36.

  • Patent number: 7639476
Abstract: When an electric connection box (P) is received inside a cover (50A), a part reception section (34) is exposed to the outside, in an opening (51H) in the upper surface of the cover (50A). As a consequence, there is fear that water on the upper surface of the cover (50A) enters onto the upper surface of a case (20) from a gap between the opening (51H) and the part reception section (34). Water discharge grooves (35, 36) reaching a water discharge path (38) in an outer surface of the case (20) is formed in the upper surface of the case (20), and as a result, water collecting on the upper surface of the case (20)(body section (30)) flows into the water discharge grooves (35, 36) to be reliably discharged.

  • Publication number: 20090242266
Abstract: Fluid drainage slopes are formed at a lower frame part constituting a housing that is provided below circuit board housed inside housing. Drainage ports are also formed at a lowermost part of fluid drainage slope in lower frame part. Thus, fluid that forms in the housing flows down from circuit board and onto fluid drainage slopes to be guided downward from fluid drainage slope to reach drainage ports and be discharged to outside housing. It is thus possible to prevent or suppress the occurrence of short circuits in a circuit board caused by fluid generated and/or accumulated inside the housing.

  • Patent number: 7514629
Abstract: A fuse block 23 includes a main body portion 34, which is arranged along a top edge portion 21a of a frame 21, and an arm portion 35, which extends from an end of the main body portion 34 along a side edge portion 21b of the frame 21 that is roughly orthogonal to the top edge portion 21a. The mutual engagement of rocking restricting portions 31 and 41 that are provided on the side edge portion 21b of the frame 21 and the arm portion 35 restricts displacement of the arm portion 35 in relation to the side edge portion 21b of the frame 21 in a direction orthogonal to the length direction of the side edge portion 21b. This prevents rocking of the fuse block 23 in which the top edge portion 21a of the frame 21 serves roughly as a fulcrum.

  • Patent number: 7479867
Abstract: A fusible link receptacle that, when a fusible link is inserted in the receptacle at an inclined angle, prevents both damage to tab connectors and faulty connections between terminals in the fusible link and the tab connectors. Tab connectors extend from internal circuits into the internal region of the fusible link receptacle, and a rib is formed on the internal surface of the perimeter wall and extends to a point above the leading edges of the tab connectors. Should an attempt be made to insert the fusible link into the fusible link receptacle at an inclined angle, the rib makes interfering contact with the lower edge of the fusible link to prevent further insertion.

  • Patent number: 7357650
Abstract: A bulging wall portion, which forms a connector accommodation portion by bulging outward from a side wall, is formed in a cover plate portion of a cover. The bulging wall portion has an overhead wall formed such that it rises from the cover plate portion. A sloping wall is formed on the overhead wall such that roughly the center in the width direction of the connector accommodation portion serves as a vertex and the sloping wall slopes in downward gradients from the vertex toward both ends in the width direction. Water that flows down over the cover plate portion is caught by the overhead wall and flows downward along the sloping wall. The water is guided to both side faces on the outer sides in the width direction of the connector accommodation portion, so that it is drained off while avoiding the opening portions of the second through fourth connectors.
