  • Patent number: 5231284
Abstract: In a position detecting method and an apparatus therefor, a signal processing circuit including a semiconductor laser, a light receiving element and the like is arranged on the outside of a servomotor. An article to be detected is arranged within the servomotor. The signal processing circuit and the article are connected to each other by a single or a plurality of optical fibers. A laser light is applied to surface properties formed inevitably at processing of a surface of the article, to produce a signal of a reflected light. The signal of the reflected light and a beforehand stored position signal of the article are compared with each other so as to be converted into a rotational-angle signal, thereby detecting a position of the article.

  • Patent number: 5075585
Abstract: A rotary machine having a stator assembly constructed by joining brackets to a stator core by all-round laser welding without entailing the thermal deformation of those components. The omission of through-bolts for fastening together the stator core and the brackets and the resultant omission of through holes in the stator core for receiving the through-bolts reduces the outside dimensions of the laminations of the stator core. Superfluous spaces in the stator assembly are filled with a resin to prevent the condensation of moisture attributable to temperature variation within the rotating machine, to provide the rotating machine with a high rigidity, to suppress vibrations and to enhance heat transfer from the stator coils to the brackets.

  • Patent number: 5046052
Abstract: In a static RAM having an internal low voltage transformation circuit, a word line drive circuit is provided which applies a low voltage, from an internal low voltage transformation circuit to a word line during read-out to improve the static RAM operating margin. The internal low voltage transformation circuit is formed by a reference voltage supply circuit and an internal voltage control circuit. A data hold voltage is supplied, when the static RAM is operating at a lower voltage, by a power pull-down device having a lower power consumption than the internal low voltage transformation circuit so as to achieve power consumption savings.
