Publication number: 20120306497Abstract: There is provided a technique for improving quality of images obtained with an MRI apparatus by using the geometric structures of the conventional RF transmission coil and RF reception coil and without increasing burden on patients or MRI technicians. A conductor loop of an RF reception coil disposed between a subject and an RF transmission coil is used also as a loop for magnetic field adjustment in order to shield or enhance a rotating magnetic field B1 generated by the RF transmission coil. Further, the conductor loop operated as a conductor loop for magnetic field adjustment among the conductor loops constituting the RF reception coil is driven so that inhomogeneity of the rotating magnetic field B1 is reduced.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 26, 2011Publication date: December 6, 2012Inventors: Yukio Kaneko, Hideta Habara, Yoshihisa Soutome, Yosuke Otake, Hisaaki Ochi, Yoshitaka Bito

Patent number: 8198894Abstract: An RF coil for MR Imaging that can change a resonance frequency easily and instantaneously in response to a nuclide to be imaged without exchange and adjustment and that also causes only small lowering of sensitivity. The RF coil has a sub coil for changing a resonance frequency of the transmitting/receiving RF coil for transmitting and receiving an MR signal between itself and a nuclide that is an object to be imaged. The sub coil is equipped with a switch, and at the time of switching-on, shifts the resonance frequency of the RF coil by changing an inductance value of the RF coil in a noncontact manner using inductance coupling.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2009Date of Patent: June 12, 2012Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Yukio Kaneko, Hideta Habara, Yoshihisa Soutome, Yosuke Otake, Yoshitaka Bito

Publication number: 20110267062Abstract: The present invention provides a technique for maintaining a function for effectively blocking common mode noise with a simple configuration, even in the case where unbalance occurs in characteristic impedance of a coaxial cable in an MRI apparatus, and improving the performance of an RF coil. In a circuit where a balun is established by parallel connection with the coaxial cable, multiple serial resonance circuits having different resonance frequencies are connected in parallel. A value of each constitutional element of each of the serial resonance circuits is adjusted in such a manner that the frequency for blocking the common mode noise of the entire balun falls into a range between the resonance frequencies of these serial resonance circuits.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 28, 2010Publication date: November 3, 2011Applicant: HITACHI, LTD.Inventors: Yosuke Otake, Yoshihisa Soutome, Yukio Kaneko, Yoshitaka Bito, Hisaaki Ochi, Koji Hirata

Patent number: 7597370Abstract: A carrying unit is capable of changing the holding force of a carried object, suppressing the deformation amount of a carried object held by suction and dropping the carried object quickly at a predetermined place. A carrying unit has a workpiece holding face opposing a carried object and a carrying head equipped with a concave portion having an air guide face gently continued from a bottom face to a work holding face. A cylindrical nozzle, which forms a slit for discharging air between the carrying head and the bottom face in order to discharge positive pressure air toward the air guide face from that slit, is mounted on the carrying head such that it projects from the bottom face. A central portion of the cylindrical nozzle serves as a vertical nozzle having a vertical hole, which is open substantially in a vertical direction with respect to the carried object for supplying positive pressure or negative pressure air to the carried object, and a flat portion perpendicular to the vertical hole.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2005Date of Patent: October 6, 2009Assignee: Koganei CorporationInventors: Toshikazu Tanae, Yukio Kaneko
