  • Patent number: 4903627
Abstract: The present invention relates to a steering handle device for small jet-propelled boats in which the stern of the boat is used as a floor deck on which the rider stands, and the engine is mounted on the front of the floor deck. A handle post is pivotally connected to the bow of the boat by a horizontal shaft. A base board for attaching the handle bar is integrated with the rear or upper end of the handle post overhanging the floor deck, and an attaching plate for the handle bar is pivotally connected to the base board by a vertical shaft. The rider steers using the handle bar and by changing the position at which he/she applies foot pressure to the boat. The steering handle device is characterized by the handle bar being constructed substantially in a H-shape as seen from a front view. The handle bar assembly consists of a handle bar body horizontally extending transversely of the boat, and a pair of grips vertically extending from the opposite ends of the handle bar body.

  • Patent number: 4748928
Abstract: The invention relates to a steering handle device for jet-propelled small-sized boats on the type in which the operator rides the boat in a standing posture. The invention prevents the operator's body from being twisted around during the turning of the boat to the extent that he is forced to assume an unstable steering posture, and makes it possible to apply the foot pressure resulting from the operator's body weight to the boat body effectively and as desired from the standpoint of human engineering so as to provide the so-called quick steering performance.

  • Patent number: 4739732
Abstract: A kit for post-installing reed valves between the cylinder block of a 2-cycle engine of a jet propelled small-sized boat and an inlet manifold is characterized in that the kit comprises base plate, a carburetor plate and a reed valve case interposed between two plates. The base plate is formed with two types of holes, i.e., plain holes through which attaching bolts are screwed into threaded holes in a cylinder block and threaded holes to be used in attaching the reed valve case. The carburetor plate and reed valve case are formed with plain holes, respectively, for alignment communication with the threaded holes in the base plate to receive other bolts. The arrangement is such that the reed valves removably fitted in the reed valve case are inseparably held between the reed valve case and the carburetor plate. Thus, the 2-cycle engine can be efficiently changed from the piston valve type to the reed valve type.

  • Patent number: 4618843
Abstract: A plurality of permanent magnets are usually disposed within a cathode ray tube for correcting the magnetic field causing misconvergence or raster distortion of beams travelling within a cathode ray tube. Since the magnets of plate shape are magnetized in the thickness direction thereof being reversed at both the ends thereof along the longitudinal direction thereof, it is possible to effectively distribute magnetic field generated by the permanent magnets within the cathode ray tube without increasing the thickness of the magnets.

  • Patent number: 4583211
Abstract: A circuit is disclosed which is applied for a digital audio disk (DAD) system for detecting a maximum inverting period of a digital audio signal optically read out from the DAD. The audio signal is prestored in the DAD so as to have the maximum and minimum inverting periods specially set by an eight to fourteen modulation (EFM). The detection circuit includes an edge detector for detecting pulse edges of the digital audio signal, a counter for counting pulse edge intervals on the basis of a modulating clock signal, a counter type register, and a comparator. When the register contents of the counter type register is smaller than the count value of the counter, the comparator produces a pulse signal by which said register updates the contents of the register by "1". Repeating this operation, a maximum inverting period value of the digital audio signal is obtained in a fixed period of time.

  • Patent number: 4441465
Abstract: A lash adjuster oil-supplying device has an oil path formed within the hollow center of a camshaft of an overhead camshaft-type engine. An oil jet hole is formed in said camshaft which communicates with said oil path. A first oil passage extends from a cylinder head through the camshaft housing to the camshaft, and a second passage extends from the camshaft through the camshaft housing to a passage for supplying oil to lash adjusters, which is formed in the cylinder head. Oil enters the oil path within the camshaft from the first oil passage, and, after passing through the oil path, is supplied to the passage for supplying oil to lash adjusters through the second passage. A portion of the oil passing through the oil path is ejected through the oil jet hole to lower and regulate the oil pressure supplied to the lash adjuster, independent of engine speed. This prevents pump-up of the lash adjuster without using a special oil-pressure regulator.

  • Patent number: 4062029
Abstract: A single-lens reflex camera shutter having an operating ring driven in one direction by a gear-rack and pinion combination. The operating ring actuates the diaphragm and shutter blades and is stopped by a stop lever during the taking of an exposure. The stop lever is locked during the taking of an exposure by a signal lever that signals the taking of an exposure and is released upon completion of an exposure to allow the operating ring to continue in its travel and carry out opening of the shutter and opening of the diaphragm blades.

  • Patent number: 4041511
Abstract: A lens shutter for a quick-return single-lens reflex camera in which the diaphragm blades and shutter blades are operated by an operating ring driven rotationally in opposite directions by a driving device. The driving device has a pair of axially biased rods that coact to sequence their travel axially in two directions for driving the operating ring through gear racks on one of the rods and a driving ring coupled to the operating ring. A pinion meshes with both gear racks. A stop lever releasably locked by a signal lever stops the operating ring temporarily during taking of an exposure and the signal lever releases the stop lever at the end of an exposure which it signals or indicates. • Patent number: 4033682
Abstract: An electric shutter is opened and closed to effect an exposure in dependence upon the energization of an electromagnet. A switching circuit controls the energization of the electromagnet in accordance with various exposure information, such as diaphragm setting and film sensitivity. An exposure control circuit comprised of a series connection of a diode and a variable resistor is connected in parallel with the electromagnet and adjustably controls the time at which the electromagnet is deenergized to accordingly effect closing of the shutter such that the electromagnet delay time equals the shutter sector advancing time to thereby compensate for fluctuations between the two times.

  • Patent number: 3978498
Abstract: An exposure time control circuit for an electric shutter of a camera includes a monolithic IC having input circuitry in the form of a transistorized differential amplifier having two input terminals. A time-constant circuit develops a timing signal proportional to the brightness of the object field and applies it to one input terminal and a reference voltage signal is applied to the other input terminal to control the exposure timing. In order to enable varying the reference voltage through a wide range so that the input terminals can also be used for introducing other exposure information variables, such as input signals representative of the F-value, film sensitivity, etc., a transistor is connected between the IC and the source of electric power.
