  • Patent number: 8551760
Abstract: [Problems] To immobilize a chain-type biopolymer in an elongated state at a predetermined position on a substrate. [Means for Solving Problems] A substrate (1) for immobilizing a biopolymer, which has a mask layer (2) provided with multiple through-holes at predetermined positions on a flat active face, is brought into contact with a solution containing a chain-type biopolymer (7). After thus immobilizing the nucleic acid molecule (7) on the active face within a through-hole (3) via physical adsorption or chemical binding, the mask layer (2) is dissolved in a solvent and thus removed while leaving the nucleic acid molecule (7a) alone having been immobilized on the active face within the through-hole (3). Subsequently, the nucleic acid molecule (7a) having been immobilized on the active face is elongated.

  • Patent number: 7981284
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a suppressor using one ion-exchange tube which has an inner diameter close to that of a tube connected to a separation column and which is constituted by an ion-exchange membrane. The ion-exchange tube is folded or wound more than once in a plane into a sheet form to provide an ion-exchange tube sheet through which an eluate from a separation column flows. The ion-exchange tube sheet is accommodated in a container. The container provides a regenerant flow channel so that a regenerant is allowed to flow on both sides of the ion-exchange tube sheet.

  • Patent number: 5324434
Abstract: A filter of a water purifying apparatus main body which is housed in a sink is made as a positive electrode, and a DC voltage is applied, by a dry battery cell, between the filter and a negative electrode in a purified water passage. Thus, microbes are prevented from proliferating in tap water which remains in the water purifying apparatus main body. A discharge pipe of the water faucet used exclusively for purified water is made as a negative electrode, and a DC voltage is applied, by the dry battery cell, between the positive electrode in the outlet of a cartridge and the discharge pipe. Thus, microbes are prevented from proliferating in tap water which remains in the water faucet used exclusively for purified water.

  • Patent number: 5281330
Abstract: A water purifying apparatus of compact construction. The water purifying apparatus has a water channel for receiving water via an inflow passage and discharging water via an outflow passage. An electrically conductive filter is disposed in and fully occupies a portion of the water channel for purifying water flowing through the filter. A first electrode is electrically connected to the filter, and a second electrode, disposed in the filter, is electrically connected to the filter via water flowing through the filter. A battery supplies voltage between the first and second electrodes. A switch controls application of the voltage from the batteries to the first and second electrodes. A circuit board having a control circuit is disposed above the first electrode, the second electrode and the switch. The circuit board is electrically connected to the various electronic components.
