Abstract: Disclosed is a liquid crystal display device including a first substrate where pixel areas are defined, a second substrate facing the first substrate, liquid crystals aligned between the first and second substrates, and spacers that maintain a gap between the first and second substrates. The pixel areas are divided into a plurality of domains along the alignment direction of the liquid crystals by way of domain dividers. Optical characteristics are compensated in different domains, so that the viewing angle of the liquid crystal display device is increased. The display quality of the liquid crystal display device is improved by adjusting the shape and position of the domain dividers and the spacers.

Abstract: A color filter substrate includes a color filter, a common electrode, a first blocking layer, and a second blocking layer. The color filter is formed in a unit pixel. The first blocking layer corresponds to an outline of the color filter. The second blocking layer is formed in the unit pixel, and under the color filter so to be covered by the color filter, thus decreasing a volume of the color filter. A common electrode is formed over the color filter and the first blocking layer. Thus, an amount of a color filter pigment required for manufacturing the substrate may be decreased and manufacturing cost may be decreased.

Abstract: A base substrate of a color filter substrate includes a display region and a peripheral region. The display region includes a pixel area having a first unit area, a second unit area, and a third unit area that are disposed adjacent to each other, and a blocking area that surrounds peripheral portions of each of the first, second, and third unit areas. A first color filter is formed in the first unit area. A second color filter is formed in the second unit area and the blocking area. A third color filter is formed in the third unit area and on the second color filter in the blocking area. Therefore, the second and third color filters overlap each other so that light is blocked.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) panel with improved display characteristics includes a first display plate and a second display plate which face each other with a liquid crystal layer therebetween, a seal bonding the first display plate to the second display plate to prevent leakage of the liquid crystal layer, and an impurity blocking and liquid crystal flowing structure disposed inside a perimeter of the seal to prevent impurities from flowing from the seal to an active region in the first and second display plates while providing a flow path allowing liquid crystals to flow to the seal.

Abstract: A filter assembly for a vacuum cleaner according to the present invention comprises a primary filter for filtering out fine dust contained in air from which relatively large dust has been separated in a cyclonic manner, a filter case with the primary filter attached to an outer periphery thereof and a plurality of air vent holes formed on the outer periphery thereof, and a secondary filter mounted into the filter case for filtering out again fine dust contained in the air which has passed through the primary filter. According to the present invention, it is possible to easily remove the dust and dirt accumulated in the filter assembly during the process of filtering the fine dust contained in the air, and the filter can be used semi-permanently.

In the microwave oven, a suction grille and an exhaust grille are provided on the front wall of the external casing, and so cooling air is sucked and discharged through the front wall of the casing. Upper and lower heaters are installed within the casing, with an upper inside air passage formed around the upper heater that guide an air current formed by an upper heater cooling fan, and another air passage is formed around the lower heater that guides an air current formed by a lower heater cooling fan. The inflow air from the suction grille is partially and directly guided to the exhaust grille so as to be mixed with hot air from the upper and lower heaters prior to being discharged from the external casing to the atmosphere through the exhaust grille. Therefore, the exhaust air from the exhaust grille is preferably reduced in its temperature to a proper low point.
