Abstract: A method for an automatic document feeder which can control the feeding of a following sheet such that the following sheet can be delayed for a predetermined time when the interval between sheets is shortened, thereby maintaining a constant interval between the sheets. The method and apparatus comprises a paper feeding roller, an arranging roller for arranging a front end of a document being fed by the paper feeding roller and for transferring the document, and an arranging sensor disposed at a front portion of the arranging roller to detect whether the document is being transferred. The arranging sensor detects a rear end of a previous sheet and a front end of a next sheet, and an operation of the arranging roller is controlled using a time interval between the previous sheet and the next sheet.

Abstract: In a method and an apparatus for forming image, digital image information is generated by conveying a document and scanning an image recorded on the document while conveying the document. When an image is scanned with a high resolution that is greater than a default resolution, a document is conveyed at a default speed at an initial stage and the document is conveyed at a speed slower than the default speed during an image scanning operation. The image forming apparatus includes a scan unit scanning the image recorded on the document, and a conveying unit which conveys the document at a default speed in an initial stage of conveying the document, and which conveys the document at a speed slower than the default speed while scanning the image in a high resolution scanning operation that has higher resolution than a default resolution.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus having a scanning function and an image forming method by which images of right and left pages of a book are not printed upside down when the book is scanned using the image forming apparatus. According to the image forming method, the host receives scanned image data from the image forming apparatus and stores the scanned image data. A control unit of the host determines whether a scanned image belongs to a left page or a right page of a book, and if the scanned image belongs to a right page, the scanned image is rotated 180° and the rotated image is stored in the host.

Abstract: A copy apparatus having a 180° rotation copy function and a 180° rotation copy method include an input unit, a display unit, a scanning unit to scan a subject disposed on the script plate to be copied, and converting the scanned script into bitmap data, a storage unit to store the converted bitmap data in a memory location that is assigned for the subject to be copied; and in case of a 180° rotation copy command being inputted from the input unit, a control unit to store the converted bitmap data in a memory address of the memory location in descending order. Accordingly, it is possible to copy a subject to be copied with a 180° rotation.
