Abstract: The present invention provides a remote payment system and a method for the same. The remote payment system includes a radio piece, a controller and an input & password verification piece. The controller is electrically connected to the radio piece for recording a credit, and the input & password verification piece respectively coupled the controller and the radio piece, which permits the radio piece to transmit an authorized signal while a correct password is verified.

Abstract: A dual-band loop antenna comprising: a grounding plane, a radiation metallic loop and a radiation metallic plate, the shape of the grounding plane is generally rectangular having a grounding point and a shorting point; the radiation metallic loop has a feeding end and a shorting end, the shorting end is electrically connected to the shorting point on the grounding plane; while the radiation metallic plate is encircled by the radiation metallic loop, and one terminal point of the radiation metallic plate is electrically connected to the vicinity of the shorting end of the radiation metallic loop. The embodiments of antennas of the present invention suit designing of antennas for mobile phones using the bands of GSM (890˜960 MHz)/DCS (1710˜1880 MHz).

Abstract: A broadband antenna includes a dielectric substrate, a radiation conductor and a feeding gap. The radiation conductor is disposed on the dielectric substrate and has a first side and a second side. The first side is adjacent to the second side, and the first side is longer than the second side. The second side has a first feeding point and a second feeding point. The feeding gap has a first end located at the first side and a second end located at the second side. The feeding gap divides the radiation conductor into a first sub-radiation conductor and a second sub-radiation conductor. The first feeding point is located on the first sub-radiation conductor and the second feeding point is located on the second sub-radiation conductor.

Abstract: A method and system for plating CoNiFe is disclosed. The method and system include providing a plating solution including hydroxymethyl-p-tolylsulfone and plating the CoNiFe film on a substrate in the plating solution. The plating solution is configured to provide a CoNiFe film having a high saturation magnetic flux density and having a composition of 50-70 weight percent of Fe and 3-8 weight percent of Ni. In another aspect, the method and system include plating at least a portion of a first and/or second pole of a write head using the plating solution including hydroxymethyl-p-tolylsulfone and configured to plate the CoNiFe film having a high saturation magnetic flux density and a composition of 50-70 weight percent of Fe and 3-8 weight percent of Ni.

The system contains integrator and designer interfaces, an account managing device, a mask tooling information processor, a mask database checking device, and a mask tooling information convertor. The integrator and the designer interfaces provide first and second users with access to the multi-project wafer service. The account managing device manages identification information and corresponding access authority. The mask tooling information processor provides a predefined form to the designer interface, receives the form containing the mask tooling information, and presents the completed form to the integrator interface. The mask database checking device compares the mask tooling information to preset data. The mask tooling information convertor converts the mask tooling information into mask tape-out information.

The method includes steps of (a) displaying a substitute choice and a hint sentence containing a suggested choice as a reference for a user, (b) receiving the voice to be recognized from the user, (c) conducting a search in a database to give a result according to the voice, and (d) repeating steps (a)-(c) to narrow down a search range until a desirable result is obtained.

Abstract: A method for adjusting attributes of a video signal within a system is disclosed. The system includes a display device and a host. The display device has a first signal attribute specification, and the video signal has a second signal attribute specification. The first step of this method is to output a video signal from the host. The display device responds with a status signal to the host according to the first and the second signal attribute specifications. Afterward, the host can modify the attributes of the video signal according to the status signal.

Abstract: A monitor with an adjustable angle and operating method thereof. The monitor includes a rotation component to control display angle, an OSD (On Screen Display) module, a microprocessor and a motor. The OSD module provides an interface from which a target angle can be selected, and the OSD module transmits a first control signal corresponding to the target angle to the microprocessor. The microprocessor transmits a second control signal corresponding to the first control signal to the motor. The motor drives the rotation component to automatically adjust angle of the monitor to the target angle according to the second control signal.

Abstract: Methods of signal mode determination for electronic display devices for determining a mode of an input display signal. A first display signal is first received. The first display signal comprises first pixels and each first pixel has hue values. The first display signal is determined as a first mode if one of the following conditions is true, else as a second mode. The first condition is if the ratio of the first pixels having the same hue value reaches a first predetermined ratio. The second condition is if the ratio of the first pixels having the hue values within a static hue value range reaches a second predetermined ratio.

Abstract: An integrated dialogue system is provided. The system comprises a bridge and a plurality of domains, wherein all domains are coupled to the bridge with bidirectional communications. A domain database is optional to the domains. After receiving an input data, the domain recognizes the input data and determines whether to process the input data by itself, or to process the input data in the domain and transmit a dialogue result and the input data to another domain, or transmit the input data to another domain without processing.

Abstract: A resolution detection method for an electronic display device. The method first receives a line rate, a frame rate, and a horizontal total of an electronic display device to calculate candidate resolutions. A horizontal display of the electronic display device is then received. Next, a horizontal blank is calculated according to the line rate and the horizontal display. An adjustment method for application to the electronic display device is determined according to the horizontal blank. Finally, an optimum resolution is selected from the candidate resolutions according to the determined adjustment method.

Abstract: An optical splitter with reflection suppression is disclosed. It includes an input waveguide and a plurality of receiving waveguides. The input waveguide has at least one output surface for transferring an incident light to the receiving surfaces of the receiving waveguides. Each of the output surfaces parallels the corresponding receiving surfaces, and an oblique angle is formed between the output surface and the progressing direction of the incident light.

Abstract: A method of voice-inputting a Chinese character is provided. The method comprises: inputting a target character in a voice; generating a plurality of candidate characters including the target character based on a spelling of the target character; and selecting the target character from the plurality of candidate characters based on a description of the target character. Because the method combines the CSL and CDL mechanisms so that it can generates the accurate character.
