The method includes (a) obtaining related approximation pixel-values of the reference image pt having overall relationship between coordinates (x, y) and original pixel-values ft of pixels of the reference image; (b) obtaining related approximation pixel-values of the target image ps having overall relationship between coordinates (x, y) and original pixel-values fs of pixels of the target image; and (c) determining the similarity using the target related approximation pixel-values ps and the reference related approximation pixel-values pt.

Abstract: A scanning apparatus including a scanner main body provided with a document sheet stand; a scan unit being movably installed in the scanner main body for scanning an image of a document sheet placed on the document sheet stand; a driving unit to drive the scan unit; a locking unit to lock/unlock a motion of the scan unit; and a control section to control a driving of the locking unit in response to a scan signal. Abstract: An image forming apparatus discharging a printed medium at a stable speed. A image developer affixes an image to a printing medium to form a printed medium and a transporting roller moves the printed medium toward a discharge roller. A one-way clutch driving the transport roller permits the discharge roller to assert control over the printed medium while the printed medium is in contact with the transport roller. The discharge roller is controllable to accelerate and decelerate the printed medium so that printed media are orderly stacked. The one way clutch permits the discharge roller and the transport roller to be spaced apart less than a length of the printed medium.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of implementing a scatternet over a plurality of piconets using different frequencies in a Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN). In the scatternet implementation method of the present invention, a master of a first piconet transmits a scatternet request to a shared slave, and the shared slave switches a frequency thereof to a frequency of a second piconet and relays the scatternet request to a master of the second piconet. The master of the second piconet transmits scatternet approval to the shared slave. The shared slave switches the frequency to a frequency of the first piconet, relays the scatternet approval to the master of the first piconet, and is allocated resources, which do not overlap each other, by the masters of the first piconet and the second piconet. The shared slave switches frequencies and relays data between the first piconet and the second piconet while synchronizing with both the first piconet and the second piconet using allocated resources.

Abstract: A paper-size index device and a paper-supplying cassette used with an image-forming apparatus. A paper regulator is installed to be movably set depending on sizes of sheets of paper loaded in the paper-supplying cassette, and a rotational wheel is set at a determined position while rotating by an interaction unit connected to the paper regulator, so that the paper-size information marks provided on one side thereof are exposed through a transparent window. Accordingly, paper-size display and detection operations set at the paper-supplying cassette can be interactively performed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hermetic rotary compressor. More particularly, since the conventional rotary compressor has problems that the effect of a surge recess for reducing noises due to pressure pulsation is insufficient, and it is impossible to obtain the maximum compression efficiency, the present invention is constructed such that noises due to pressure pulsation can be reduced to the maximum and at the same time the compressive driving force required for compressing gaseous refrigerant is decreased to thereby improve the compression efficiency.

The method for calculating an amount and determining a position of the eccentric mass of the rotary head apparatus of the fixed shaft type and the apparatus for calculating and determining the same, are very accurate and credible. Accordingly, the rotational vibration of the head apparatus can be largely reduced through a balancing utilizing the eccentric mass calculated by and determined by the above-mentioned method and apparatus.
