    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes mateable receptacle connector and plug connector. The receptacle connector includes a first insulative housing, a number of first contacts retained in the first insulative housing and a first metallic shell. The first metallic shell includes a pair of cantilevered claws extending downwardly from opposite sides thereof. When the plug connector is mated with the receptacle connector along a bottom-to-top direction, the pair of cantilevered claws are deformable so as to clamp the plug connector in position and prevent the plug connector from falling off from the receptacle connector along a top-to-bottom direction.
