  • Patent number: 8038466
Abstract: A power connector assembly includes mateable power receptacle and power plug. The power receptacle includes an insulative housing and a number of receptacle power contacts received in the insulative housing. The insulative housing includes a mating surface, a mounting surface, a first slot recessed from the first mating surface, and a first through hole extending through the mounting surface to be exposed to an exterior. The first through hole is in communication with the first slot in order to form a heat dissipation path for eliminating heat generated by the receptacle power contacts.

  • Patent number: 8040678
Abstract: A connecting box for connecting to a solar panel includes a housing and a terminal assembly. The housing has an opening for introducing an electrical connecting element of the solar panel. The terminal assembly is disposed in the housing, which includes a first terminal having a first contact portion for contacting and applying an elastic force to the electrical connecting element and a first releasing portion extending from the first contact portion. The first releasing portion is non-obstructedly arranged in the housing to be operable to release the elastic force without assistance of any tools when the solar panel is inserted into or extracted from the connecting box.

  • Patent number: 7946871
Abstract: An electrical connector in accordance with the present invention includes an insulative housing defining a mating direction and at least one contact-receiving passage extending along a mating direction, at least one conductive contact received in the at least one contact-receiving passage for electrically connecting with a conductive contact of a complementary connector, and a protection element. The at least one conductive contact includes a retention section interferentially received in the at least one contact-receiving passage, and a mating section extending from the retention section for electrically connecting with corresponding conductive contact of the complementary connector, and a mounting section extending from the retention section. The mating section forms a tip end at a free end thereof. The protection element is integrally formed with the tip end of the mating section of the at least one conductive contact and wraps the tip end.

  • Patent number: 7857656
Abstract: An electrical connector for electrically connecting with a complementary connector includes an insulative housing defining a number of contact-receiving passages, and a number of conductive contacts respectively received in the contact-receiving passages adapted for electrically connecting with conductive contacts of the complementary connector and generating heat. The insulative housing defines a pair of first heat-radiating channels located at opposite lateral sides thereof and extending through the insulative housing along a mating direction, and at least one second heat-radiating channel extending through the insualtive housing along the mating direction and located between at least a pair of contact-receiving passages adjacent thereto. The heat generated by the conductive contacts is capable of radiated out of the insualtive housing through the first heat-radiating channels and the at least one second heat-radiating channel.
